So it was announced a week ago that a live-action Captain Planet film is in production for theaters.
One of the exec. producers, Don Murphy, of Transformers is apparently producing it.
I gotta say, this is one of the only remakes I am looking forward to watching.
Either way, LET'S GO PLANETEERS...WE'RE GONNA SAVE THE EARTH AGAIN!

There is no way anyone is going to be taking this seriously if he's still silver-skinned with a green mullet.
Furthermore, what perils, obstacles/conflicts could they set up for the Cap'n that hasn't been done to death in the show? Are they going to go all BP Gulf on us, or...what?
This is going to suck. ESPECIALLY if it's anything like Transformers in their attempts to be gritty.
