I grew up listening to metal and punk because of my mother.
I'm still into a lot of the bands that I liked when I was four :P
has anyone here heard of The Dead Milkmen?
they were the first band I sang along to XD
My mom listens to all the dadrock like CCR, Josh Groban, Simon and Garunkel, stuff like that. My dad listens to all of that 90's RnB and HipHop.
I used to listen to a lot of my mom's music but now I listen to more of my dad's.

I like Rammstein and my parents too. I don't find that embarrassing at all.

My dad is the one who got me into soul and motown as a child. I thank him greatly for it.
Just today when talking to him on the phone while he was in his car, he stopped, held the phone to his radio in the car and I could hear playing Baby I Need Your Loving by The Four Tops. Its probably 'our' song. We bound over it madly and yeah good times.
My mother loves rock and heavy metal. My dad, he loves it too.
They were about 20 when I was born, so, they listened Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam, Ozzy, all this awesome stuff. They're awesome.
