3.93 / 5.00 4,634 ViewsI started out animating using tweens, then moved to sprites, then I met Jomillex and started FbF. I enjoy doing sprites but I use the swap symbol method which is a pain in the fingertips (haha?). Frame by frame is cool but i dont have a tablet yet. Plus Sprites are easier with a mouse. And tweens don't require much drawing or a tablet. Im confused. Help....
Blow our minds with a seamless epic combination of all three.
seriously. I really want someone to do this.
Yep. that's me on liljim and PsychoGoldfish's sigs.
I must be pretty awesome huh?
I, for one, welcome our new Facebook overlords.
FBF For Life! No but it really depends on what you're working on. If what you're doing really requires you to do some crazy stuff then FBF gives you freedom. If you're just making something chill that isn't too insane then Tweens are fine. Sprites can do tons too but if you run into something that you can't find a sprite for, then you have to kinda improvise it. Of course I'm all FBF cause I can do whatever I want really, there are like no limitations its just hard and tedious at times. So whatever suits you best.
Since you don't have a tablet then FBF can be a total kick to the dick so if you really want to FBF get yourself a tablet. It's worth it if your serious about this animating thing :)
If you can't really draw then sprites are the way to go (But really if you want to be a good animator you kinda need to know how to draw...). The only problem is that you have to look for sprites and sometimes there are things that sprites just don't cover.
Tweens are fun too but since I don't use them much or at all then I can't really give you some serious feed back. Although, I have tried them out and I just can't get some stuff to do what I want but that may be my fault I'm not sure.
GOOD LUCK!
