Looking for a good MMO. 2011-07-25 20:54:02 Reply

My computer is basically shit, can't run anything decent.

I'm looking for a fun MMO that would get me addicted, or an online game that's worth playing. (Free, please)

So, what do you guys have in mind?

I got banned from it, I love Runescape despite it's bad stigma.

Nowadays, they don't really give a crap if you curse or anything, considering there is a button to turn off the filter for swear words. Pffft, it's not like it's gonna help anyway though, everyone was just spelling the cusses really weird to begin with so who gives.

I was actually botting. I've got far on that game and I'm fairly wealthy too. Just got caught because the fucking bot decided to sit in the same spot for8 hours doing nothing!

So...Now I'm here asking for a new game to play.

Well, a ton of really fun games are at Nexon.Net, They're all free but they require a download. they are pretty much newer so older computers may not work as well, especially not with the game Combat Arms, but Maplestory and the game Mabinogi may be able to run on your computer. There is also Perfect World International but that requires a download as well, and also may not work with your computer. Other then that though, i got nothing. I hope it helps though

Well that's why it's gotten fucking boring for you. Botters just cheat the game, ruin the economy and act like total dickheads about it. If you play the game properly, it's more rewarding and you're not ruining the experience for everyone else.

Try playing the game for real when at least 45% of the players bot as well.
When the staff start making updates to counteract the bots, I'll stop botting.

It got a 40/40 from Famitsu, 10/10 from Game Informer, IGN, and etc.

It's basically perfect across the board, the only bad thing they have on it is that level development can be time consuming and tedious.

Travis, that was so beautifully executed that you deserve a medal.

Try Realm of the Mad God. Browser based, and any computer can run it.

I've heard good things about League of Legends. Apparently it's like DotA, if you've ever played it.

What's up with that

There's a lot of hate on Nexon games, but the Nexon team really does try to respond to its community. Every game gets constant updates, and even periodic re-balances. Just recently, Combat Arms got a re-balance so now all the game modes and maps give proportionate experience so it's not as hard to level up. Maplestory got a giant re-balance in December and a smaller one just this June, and so much content has been added in those two updates. Vindictus gets another chapter in the campaign every month. Also, a new game developed by Nexon called Dragon Nest is going open beta today. There's also a few other games by them, but I don't pay as much attention to them.

They're supposed to be good MMO's coming out in the near future (star wars being on of them), so you could just wait.

Lord Of The Rings Online is incredibly good for a free MMORPG, and has a fantastically executed free-to-play system that will leave you able to easily enjoy the game without feeling cheated by people who want to pay extra.

This too will pass.

I like Forsaken World. It's free on steam. And it's like every other free MMO where you have to rely on the cash shop to get anywhere in the game, you can actually do stuff for free. What stands out most as being free are the pets and mounts. You almost never get that stuff for free.
