All Work And No Play

First of all I want to say hello to everyone as I am new here : )

I finished this animation some months ago. It was my first dabble into drawn animation and I didn't really know what I was doing. I worked without storyboards or a plot outline. It was more of an animation exercise than an attempt at a serious short film.

I am really interested in feedback and critique, so tell me what you think.

I liked it, the animation was very decent, the plot was a bit boring for me, but I guess I'm just not into that "ultra art house" thing. For a first cartoon, this is very, very good.
What kind of software did you use? Doesn't look like flash at all, even assuming that you could have made the effects in photoshop.
