sprite series help

heya newgrounders im planning on making a sprite movie series which combines most games ive seen and played, i need some advice for it though as im pretty much defeated by flash most of the time of already started making movie clips, graphics, sounds and so forth but its the little things that i cant get working for me for example:
i wanted to make an opening where it fades in from a black background but have no idea how to do that
i also need advice on what characters to add to the series as ive already chosen two games to start with (megaman zx and draglade)
and the last thing is text although im good at using it on a text box i cant make fade in text like for an opening or credits plz help

currently looking for megaman zx advent sprites one character in particular called thetis or model L as you might know him if anyone knows where to find a sprite sheet with him on it which includes him transforming into model L plz send me a link
