This is a crew for the people of Newgrounds who regularly, or even rarely, attend gigs by their favourite bands. This is a place for sharing the details of said gig or concert, by saying who it is you're going to see, where they are playing, and when. Feel free to include any details you feel necessary to share, such as the price.

It's also a place for discussing live music in general, and reviewing the performance of bands who you have seen in the past.

This club is open to all, obvious rules apply.

I'll get it started with the bands im going to see in the remainder of this year:

September 11th, Bristol O2 Arena - Toots and the Maytals.Ledgendary Reggae band, one of the most iconic. Really glad I'm getting a chance to see someone so big in the reggae world.

October 5th, Bristol O2 Arena - Cage the Elephant (Possible) I love this band, ever since I heard 'Ain't no rest for the wicked.' They're a lot of fun.

October 11th, Brixton O2 Academy - Death from above 1979Awesome band, going with fellow NGer Snuff, it should be a fun night!

October 23rd or 24th, Bristol O2 Arena - The Cat EmpireI've had the good fortune to go to one of this lesser known band's gigs before, the atmosphere was incredible!

November 10th, Bristol O2 Arena - Friendly fires, supported by SBTKRTIndie electro band that are pretty big at the moment, really original music, my friend who's seen them five times is demanding that I come, and to be honest, I'm happy to go along with it!

December 14th, Bristol O2 Arena - Aloe BlaccI need a dollar, dollar...

I'm sure I'm going to see lots of entirely unknown bands when I'm in pubs as well.

I.. I like live music, ok? In case you haven't guessed, the Bristol O2 is my local major venue, even if it is an hour away!

Your turn.

Anyway, those gigs alone will cost me.. £110

Aside from going to see the occasional local band play down the pub I don't go to gigs very often nwo. Still, it's a nice atmosphere and just as enjoyable when the band is a rock/metal/punk band.

First gig I ever attended was back in 2006. I was only 14 and went to see The Exploited play in Edinburgh. Anyone who's interested in the punk scene will recognise them and they were a pretty big band back in their day. Still, it was a great show and although a lot of the people I went with weren't impressed with the quality of the performance, I thought it was awesome. Punk and skinhead gigs are always fun to attend though, especially if things start to get rowdy, which is pretty common.

Since then I've only really been to one other 'big' gig and I think that was the following year. An all day punk festival in Edinburgh where I got to see some other big names from the punk scene, most noticeably Angelic Upstarts and The Vibrators.

There's a local rock cover band called Fatlips that I've seen a couple times now and I think their stuff is pretty good. They do some good Thin Lizzy covers. I went to see them play in one of the pubs two or three weekends back and if I wasn't so skint right now I'd go and see them play more often.

I've not been to a gig in AGES. Think Stiff Little Fingers back in March will have been the last.

There's always a dry spell over the summer when most bands are doing festivals, though. Will probably go see [spunge] in October, but nothing before that. I missed them the last time they were around, even though I had a ticket. Price has gone up like, they were only £5 last year, and they're asking £9 now.

Two of the best bands I've seen live were Pendulum and Death Cab For Cutie. Pendulum were amazing, at the time it wasn't really a genre of music I'd ever really listened to. So it was all new to me which was kinda nice. Plus it was a really hot day so there were loads of topless girls too which wasn't exactly a bad thing. Death Cab For Cutie had one of the best atmospheres, definitely worth seeing.

Anyways, sometimes I do lighting for bands at gigs, picture from a show I designed a few years back. Loads of different bands played over the 4 day event.

We're from the South west, just coming up for the show, it's the only UK date they are playing that we can go to. But Mr. Snuff has relatives in London, so it's easy enough to go to! Why, do you live there?

What did you think? I've heard they're good live.

BBM, your music taste is incredible, I don't think there's a band on that list that I don't like. And Cole, we both know how good our music tastes are, knowmmsaying?

Also for those who are go to the Explosions in the sky gig, are you going to the Brixton one on 27th Jan? Because if I can convince Snuff, we may well be going to that! My friend has seen them live, she said it's an intense gig.

I have that very problem. I need to travel to a city like a hour away on the train to get to most gigs, and none of my friends seem to be too into spending excessive amounts of money to get to a gig of a band they don't really like.

That comment about sexual advances was Drome on my profile :3

But yeah, i'll give Explosions in the Sky a listen then probably go to that gig. I hear their songs are like an hour each though.

Yeah, so far I've only seen the Kaiser Chiefs live in 2007, but next sunday I have Good Charlotte, Cage the Elephant and DFA1979 with Drome, and Rise Against in November. Looking forward to all of them.

Also BBM, I am utterly jealous of you seeing The Gaslight Anthem, at the moment only Brian Fallon is touring as a solo act and I cant be bothered to pay to see just him.
