I just finished watching all the episodes of Death Note, which I thought was amazing, so I'm looking for any animes with the same quality. I don't want to watch Naruto since I've tried watching that before and didn't really like it and the same with One Piece.

Gurren lagaan. You can watch the entire series for free on youtube. It migrated to god knows how many channels before it finally ended up on youtube. Stars, HBO, sci-fi, toonami. Eh. It's one hell of a show.

If you liked Death Note then Code Geass is the obvious choice.
