Making an RPG, you say? 2011-07-22 23:04:49 Reply

Hey guys,

We are looking for a 'Pixel Artist' for our upcoming game 'Dark Universe'. Our current team goes as follows: http://hardwareacceleratedreality.com/bl og/our-team/ ... We currently have 5 members but our artist has become recently inactive due to other projects.

At the moment, we have an awesome quest system, courtesy of MintPaw/Sasuke, fantastic tracks composed by 'John Roe (Wetfins)' and a mostly complete Map-Editor.

We really need an artist for this project. Please listen to the music above. If you think you are able to make Pixel Art that matches that style, please add me on Skype.

'JoeyC2410' or if you do not have Skype, send me a PM.

Kind Regards,
Joey Clover (HAROfficial Programmer)

If you have anything to show off, besides just the musical score, you might get more of response.
A direct link to gameplay, perhaps?

A rather disgusting-looking git that should have been disposed of ages ago.

I can't really show the gameplay as we have no art. I said that a Map-Editor was on the path to completion. I gave a link to that. Development on the actual game will start after an Artist is discovered.

If I may, might I suggest giving the public a general idea of the art style that you are aiming for? I mean comparing music to artwork is fairly hard, since it is not a visual. Just an example of a style of artwork.

Also, just for the sake of it, what type of game is this? I know an RPG. But is it a top down, side scroller, etc. It will help the artist know what they are getting into.

Perhaps if you clarify, I might be willing to draft something for you.
