so im going to start to learn code. which should i start with, as2 or as3?

I suggest AS3, as it is a newer 'language' and will come in handy a lot. People have said to me that AS2 is sloppy, whereas AS3 is well organised.

AS2 can be easer to learn and pickup but you can easily learn to do things the wrong way.
AS2 is very similar to JavaScript as well.

AS3 is more powerful and strict, and is about twice as fast in terms of performance.
AS3 is closer to a real object oriented programming language.
AS3 is also harder to decompile.

As much as AS2 is easer to learn, I highly recommend that you start with AS3.
AS3 is more relevant with the times and is more in demand.
As well you will not pickup as many bad habits as with AS2 by mistake.
