3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsA Pennsylvania restaurant has decided to forbid children under 6. And it's about time, too. I hope restaurants nationwide follow suit. What's your opinion about this, and does anyone have any personal stories about children fucking up their night out?
Yes! I've been waiting so long for this! Please, PLEASE let this take effect elsewhere too.
Can you feel it mister Krabs?
Good. There's nothing more annoying than screaming children, and their parents who can't control them. People go out to restaurants after a hard week at work because they want to relax, not to find themselves waist-deep in everyone else's filthy retarded offspring.
This is a good idea, it's not like children under 6 can eat any good meal anyway so they don't offer any benefit to the places.

Great idea, then there is less whining and headaches at restaurants.
Most restaurants I go to (which are rather pubs) have an age limit anyway. I can understand the restaurant, though as I mostly want to go to restaurants that don't have any noise from the kids, even though evening plans with my family has changed ever since the latest addition of my cousin 2 years ago.
This is a good idea, though it doesn't happen to me often in restaurants. More likely in say Church, I was told there used to be a room where children would go during church...
Go fuck yourself.

Actually, there was recent news on some airlines banning kids from first class seats. Makes me want to consider first class seats for the next time I go on a plane (if the airlines hold that policy):
well that works out for everyone besides people who have children under six. what about those people? so they dont get to eat out for six years just because they have a kid? not exactly fair either.

People with young children should be aware of how much problem their children cause to other people, and it is their responsibility to make sure they don't ruin other peoples times just for their own time. We are social creatures and we should act as such. If something we can change will help the majority and there is no other way to make it benefit both sides we should take the sacrifice for the others.

everyone should have to act in a way that bothers me the least!

They can take their kids to somewhere with a more suitable environment. Children start screaming and acting up in 'grown up' restaurants because they're bored. There's nothing to keep them interested. So send them to a place where they'll be given crayons or whatever it is that keeps them occupied.

It does make paying for first class more appealing. I just hope more airlines begin this policy and not just in Malaysia.

Parents aren't entitled to lug their kids everywhere they go. Adults should be able to go out at night to relax without someone's screaming three year old giving them a migraine. If parents had enough respect and courtesy to realize that there are places you don't bring kinds, then there wouldn't even need to be a ban.
Fuck, parents who think the world revolves around their kids annoy the fuck out of me.

By "me" you mean everyone in a 75 foot radius of the child right
cocks.
Why not ban all irresponsable parents then too? It's not the kid's fault their parent lets them scream whenever they want, or that their parents spoils them.
The problem is not the children, its the parents who don't teach their children proper manners.

I have mixed feelings about this.
On one hand, I want to have a good time when I go out (even if it's just to dinner, etc.). Kids that are running around, screaming, crying, being annoying, clash with me having a good time. So, having the option to go to a place where kids are banned is nice in that sense.
On the other hand, banning a type of person (kids being a type, at least in this reference) may lead to the banning of other types in the future. Can you imagine redheads (or "gingers" as Europeans call them) simply because the color of their hair is annoying? Or banning guys with tight jeans because they don't want to see bulging balls? Or girls with bleach-blonde hair because it looks ridiculous? Blacks because they're black? Pale whites because their skin is so pale that it gives off a glare against the sunlight? It would just be absurd.
for the record, I love redheads. They turn me on. Except for Carrot Top- he's freaky.

My dad's ex girlfriend had a restaurant shut down for two weeks, she was a golddigging asshole. She thought he might leave so she changed the diaper of a baby right at the table and other people saw her do it. What a disgusting person she was, also did I mention she was an asshole? Hopefully she never gets her kids back either as she doesn't know how to raise them. I feel pit for any restaurant that has to serve her greedy ass.

Don't give me the slippery slope!
Besides, I say "may" not "will." And call it what you will, there is still the possibility stupid people will try different types of banning sometime in the future.

It's still a fallacy whether you say may or will or I hope or please god jesus no. There's nothing here to suggest that they'll ban anyone else, so yeah I suppose it's possible but so is the Cubs winning the world series
cocks.
Depends on the type of restaurant. I can't see chains doing it, but I think that would be good for more higher class joints.
I agree, but put the limit to kids 4 and under instead.

I agree with this rule, again it comes down to my point of this thread. Young children are easily pleased by anything, they don't need fancy restaurants or first class plane seats, they will be just as happy eating from a truck stop and flying on the normal class seats of airplanes. It is the older people who are the only ones who benefit from fancier food and seating etc. So why should they be the ones to suffer at the cost of a child who can't appreciate it?

Sad to know, yet sadly many people don't follow the ideal living of putting others needs first, this woman is a prime example of this.

I agree with this new rule. Children can't be trusted to behave themselves most of the time.

And that's a new thing? I've seen some restaurants not allowing children under 12 in my country.
I wish that all restaurants would follow suit...
there's very little worse than a screaming child while you're trying to enjoy a nice meal.
I don't think this should stop at children though. I think anyone being unnecessarily loud at a peaceful setting should be asked to quiet down. if they fail, they should be asked to leave.
I'm a father, and I'm perfectly ok with this... I avoided restaurants with my daughter when she was little... hell, i still do XD
