Living Near/moving From Family

What are your feelings about that and what do you intend yourself?

I don't think I want to move far from my family. I know a lot of people seem to be dismissive of that outlook and would call it dependent or maybe even a small-town mentality, but given no otherwise influence I'd prefer to live near close family. This may just be because I have a quite small and distant family, and would like to have any potential offspring to know their relatives and share family friends and traditions etc.
It also doesn't really seem necessary in a multicultural and urbanised world to move afar anyway. I don't want to escape anything, I want to see and help the people that brought me up and paid my way.
Also I want to start a family crime syndicate.

i don't feel much of an emotional connection to either of my parents or extended family

and it's not because of how they treated me or anything

just have always felt distant from them, they were always nice to me i guess

My mother moved out with me and my brothers when I was young, which was good since I don't like my dad at all. I have recently this year moved out from living with my mother but she still comes around once a week to help me with things since I lack mobility at the moment, so her helping me with shopping etc works out well.

Personally I don't care about moving far from my mother she is fine, dad on the other hand prefer never to see.

I wouldn't mind living closer to my older sister. However, the rest of the family is a bit of an issue. I just can't get along with them, no matter how hard I try.

I'm kinda close to my family so I'll probably stay nearby. But if in looking for a job I have to move away, so be it. I'll just have to try to visit them often.

I want to live away from my family just to be independent, but not too far. Most of my family lives here in northern California and in Shanghai, China, but I have family in all other parts of the world. But it's really just my mom and my sister mainly that I want to be close to mainly. To some extent, my dad. I want to move somewhere else because my city is kinda boring and it's hard to find work here, but I couldn't be more than a two or three hour drive away from my hometown.

I really don't know. I've never had the luxury of having a shitty family that I can easily decide that I want to leave after high school, I actually get along with everyone in my immediate family and like them a lot. But none of my future plans involve my staying in Ohio. I really am fucking torn on this one.

You hate Ohio a lot huh? So does Ptero. Seems like a lot of people don't like Ohio? Would Ohio be a good place for me if I wanted to live there temporarily? Just for the hell of it? But there's probably not many jobs there.
