And I understand the plot there's a fucking pony that fought her sister cuz she wanted it to be night forever. But I stopped watching after the gay dragon thing. Well, at least he didn't stopped halfway through the first episode. Since the scene with the flamboyant sea serpent was in the second epsiode.

Also, to answer OP's question, I think the main characters of the series are all six of them. But since the two-part pilot episode was more centered on Twilight Sparkle, I guess you can say that she's the main character, if you're asking for just one person.
