As far as the other parts of the site being updated, it's coming. The view pages and content window are the next big things on the list for Stamper to update. I would like to see the content widow made larger, so the content doesn't fill up the screen. This would let us put a boarder around the .SWF screen so it would make playing games easier without the mouse pointer clicking off the .SWF window. I'm sure I'm not the only one that's happened too.

As far as Games, Toons, collections, series, etc, LilJim has been working on an automated collection system. Basically any user can make their own collections. If we like a collection page made by a user we can show case it. Users can also make pages for their series, if they have one, and again if we like it, we can feature it. Once this system is in place it will be WAY WAY easier for Tom and I to update content. Right now it's a pain in the ass to update content as it involves downloading the .HTML, editing the HTML, creating an icon, uploading all that, then uploading a .txt file for the link back icons, etc. WIth the new system users will be able to upload a 50x50 icon when they submit their Flash, or upload one at a later time. This way if we go to update something it will hopefully have an icon already made.

To update the toons page or games page it would be a matter of logging into an admin screen and plugging in a different portal ID and that would be it. Authors would also enter short descriptions, but we could always edit them and our edits would be final.

I wonder if it would be a good idea to attach the Flash directly to the page, rather than from a separate window. It would be like the Tom Fulp submissions, but the page would still have the whistle options, review bar, and voting thing. You can still blam stuff away, and it may eliminate certain problems me and others may have dealt with, such as the window refusing to open the page. I hate it when it does that and I have to (sometimes) restart my computer to view the Flash submissions.

Feel no mercy for me. It will only cause you to suffer as well.

I think the background of the topic title should be made a different colour (for both this FAQ if it gets stickied and the BBS Rules) - just like News topics have a red background. As it is now, it doesn't stand out too much, but a different colour background would catch the eye immediately!

while all this is being updated, you think that the site will have to go down at all?

even if it is, id still say its worth it, NG needs a good updating

This sounds good. I just hope you guys make sure and get the portal view sites updated - the menu system is old and could get a little confusion to inexperienced users who have absolutely no sign of I.Q. (and that's what user-friendly programming's all about, right?!) NE way sounds good so keep up the good work, and I agree with the possibility of a renovation day on the site.

Sounds awesome. Uh how long do you think it will take for us to edit our Alpha's. I'm a dumbass and kind of answered one of the question's by copying and pasting a previous one.

I should have proof read it. ;(

And making your own collection sounds fantastic.

It just keeps gettin' better don't it? :)

Grounds Gold User Account
Newgrounds user accounts (also known as Grounds Gold) are completely free, and the sign-up form is quick and simple. Having an account with Newgrounds is useful for several reasons, because you gain:

Access to post in the BBS
Ability to review movies

Ability to submit content

Ability to participate in the Fan-Net for increased website traffic
Augmented voting power
Access to secrets

in this i noticed there are only 6 reasons.. is this a type-po?
