Thanks to the help of Newgrundling and LilJim we have updated the FAQ!
Many of the common questions we get asked on a daily basis are now answered in the updated FAQ! So be sure to read through this before contacting us with questions. You can access the FAQ at anytime by clicking the "HELP" link at the top of every page.
If you do need to contact us, always be sure to include your NG username if you need us to look into something related to your account. We're tired of people not including their username when they ask us for help with their account. We may start ignoring emails that don't include NG usernames. Always provide us with as many details as possible, we're not mind readers!
finally ng is starting to update its self.
wheeeeeeeeeeee 3rd post.. and yay at what usaid...
Sweet Wade, hopefully, the questions will get asked less and less now.

Well, it's improved, but how many people who need to read it will actually read it?

Well, hopefully, when they make their first n00b question, and get re-directed to it, they'll see it all, and know everything.
You should put it somewhere noticable, like that "read before posting" thread.
Woo Hoo! Say goodbye to mediocre NG tutorials in the portal and stupid BBS posts in the forum....
...I'm probably speaking too soon. But I can dream.
One semi-frequently asked question is "where did popularity go?"
Might be a good one to add.

I don't know...we get an awful lot of n00bs each day, asking these ridiculous questions. It's too bad they just can't look around and find it that way.
Feel no mercy for me. It will only cause you to suffer as well.
That's just... 1337 sk33t! :D I dunno good job, glad to see more changes being made over the past few months. Lots of stuff has changed lately :S NG Mag, the Front Page, the faq. Good to see you guys are hard at work.
the downfall of the noob thread!!!!
Yay, it looks good. A place to direct the n00bs of Newgrounds
Out of interest, do the mods ban people for making n00b threads like that?

OMG, you guys should stamper-fy the FAQ. Haha, if you would stop changing the designs before the rest of it is finished. XD
Still a world famous superstar.

heh you're telling me. I love updates like a brother...well maybe not actually.
finally less n00bs to deal with we wont have problems now as much with telling someone about stuff
Great to see the NG is dusting off sections that are in real need of updating. Now I just hope that the games/toons/genres and series sections will be updated. Anyone noticed how long its been since the movies section has rotated its movies that are on the front of its page....to my knowledge, never.

Newgrundling is still alive?
well done. im glad theres been some updating
Indubidibly
Good to have a front page post about it, although the pop-up which lists the blam and protect levels and percentages still has errors on it. I forget who said it (possibly Rage), but this really ought to be stickied in the Wi/Ht forum, much as the "New to Flash?" thing is in the Flash forum.
Hey Ive been wondering this since we are on the subject of questions. I have a questiona about Alphas. (I already looked in the Alphas FAQ and I couldnt find the answer) I was wondering if it would be ok if I could send in sections of my movie to see how the audio syncing is. The reason for this is because I have a flash program called Swish 2 and I cant find a way to sync it correctly. It looks fine on my programs screen but when i submit it to newgrounds the animation goes faster and the audio stays the same. Ive tried everything and I cant find any way to stream it. So instead i just stretched the animation out for certain scenes and submitted it and it looked like it worked. But it was only a small section and I told everyone to blam it because I didnt want it to survive. It was a stab in the dark because it was all messed up on my program screen though. This was before I knew what an Alpha was. ANYWAY...Heres my point...I was wondering if I could send in small sections of my movie (which will be fairly large) into the alphas to test if I'm syncing the audio right? (I know that it has to be less than a meg.) And once i submit it can I edit it like other NG submitions?
And if anyone knows how to sync audio with SWISH 2 please tell me...thanks...
Wade is the Man!
and he didnt say anything about NG TANK STICKERS this post.
impressive
Halle - fucking - lujah !!!
Nice to give the nod to NGling for all his prior work on these and great to see that it's finally been updated. I'll pick through it after I finish my move (or while I'm waiting for the movers to show up on either end lol) and see if there's any additional information that would be useful/nice to have .. like the notation about Popularity going away someone above me mentioned.
Sticky it in Wi/Ht? (also mentioned before) is a great idea. People will still post without bothering to read it, but it'll be easier to be nasty at them for it >:)
As jt noted, there are some errors in the Rank list, most likely drawn from NGling's first version of the list.
22 19,500-21,499
23 21,500-23,499
24, 23,500-25,499 Lieutenant General
25 25,500-29,999
26 30,000+
Granted, the 2500 splits for the General ranks, scaling to 3k at full General, make more sense than 2k from LTC to full General and 4500 to SC. It's just not how it's running now ... unless you're warning us what's going to happen soon lol
Can't see anthing else offhand at the moment ... back to packing ;) Thanks for getting this up.
