I highly doubt it. Although they can find out about such downloads and trace it back to you if they are tech-savvy enough.

Bottom line: Don't use other people's Wi-Fi connections without permission. That's a big no-no.

No, unless you have configured it that way. It is possible to share files between computers on the same network but it must be done deliberately, and will never automatically happen.

Well i used to have a physical star/logical bus network topology so all data got sent to all computers on the network, we all downloaded the same stuff anyway so i made a wrote a few scripts for all computers to recieve/use data

but unless you do this, no.
