Newgrounds.com — Everything, By Everyone.

I like Newgrounds a whole hell lot more than any other forum I have ever been on. It's sleek and easy to navigate around, in fact before NG I thought the forum was useless junk heap of bullshittery, the first forum I ever visited was deezer.com's forum and that was a jumbled mess of french and was mainly, what appeared to be site news. Any other forum, my tiny 10 year old attention span couldn't see through it.
After having a jaded view on forums, I thought newgrounds was no different, I was on a laptop at the time and for whatever reason when I was scrolling to "store" I accidentally clicked "forum" and thought "aww man," and the first thing I saw was crystal clear, right in your face descriptions and was like "huh?" Then I saw people...talking to each other, interacting. It was like a chatroom but easy to keep up with people and not messy.
It was so easy to use, it became less a labor of figuring out how to use it, and instead how to interact with the community, which wasn't welcoming to me at the time :|
Another reason I like Newgrounds is because of the quick HTML, in any other website I would have found it impossible to bold or italicize text, hell I probably wouldn't be able to link. Here it's so much easier.
And finally, the "include picture" button, man, this is the only website I can upload pictures to because every other forum wants me to do...something...I can't really figure out what. Copy/paste link? no. Save to desktop and upload from there? Ummm...wheres the option for that? God damn. And now I will stress my picture uploading freedom.

I was on this site from about 2 years after it launched and I used to play flash games as a kid, then one day I thought I would sign up and then after a while I found the forums which looked WAY different back then.

The pop-up user profile was what enticed me to join and now it is gone. THEY TOOK IT AWAY :(

Once again; BBS, Forum, and Message Boards are interchangeable. It's sort of like how every car is still a car, regardless of make/brand.

I guess, but I do believe an image board relies more on picture based content rather than text to convey a point. The term BBS or forum doesn't quite describe what the image board is all about. That's just my opinion I guess.

Ebaumsworld, that's another bad one.

I've been on a few forums, but I liked none of them as much as I like NG's BBS in terms of the lay-out.

The restrictions on smileys and the level icons instead of avatars keep this place nice and pretty. I've seen too many forums looking completely fucked up because of users having the most eyesoric animated gifs or other stupid pictures as their avatars and signatures.

Furthermore I like the dark background of this website. It's easier to the eye than the bright white most forums have.
