What the hell happened?
Remember when everyone hated techno, and it was considered a joke. Now almost everything in music has a techno influence. Dubstep IS techno. Pop (which always sucked) has techno beats now. New style rap has techno beats and voice effects.
It's horrible. Techno is one of the worst things ever created, and Dubstep IS the worst thing ever created....just sayin'

Techno is not a catch all term for electronic music you dolt, it is a very specific part of it, completely unrelated to dubstep.
I don't understand either. Dubstep is just repetitive Techno with an extreme overload of bass.
Depends on who makes it. But most of the time it does suck.

Electronic music is great, just like rock music. Rock just has a couple of shitty subgenres that have an abnormally large following, like screamo. It's the same with Electronica, except with dubstep.

There are SO many genres there, it's not even like you're learning music anymore, it's like you're learning anatomy. There are SO many different styles of music that use a rock influence, but everyone just calls it Rock n' Roll. There's no reason for electronic music to be any different.

Also, I was never a fan of techno or Dubstep, but in all honesty dubstep is actually better. I still don't care for it though...
