Then I woke up..

By "real" I thought the dream was real.
The same thing happened to me in 2006, except I was floating around and my soul got sucked into a drainpipe.
Also, I expected Skeepsis to make this thread.

Inception. Go watch it.
Seriously, who even reads these things anymore?

I've heard that before. It's kind of a superstition that if you die in your dreams, you die in real life. I personally have never died in my dreams, and always seem to wake up right before any great harm befalls me.
I thought if you died in your dreams, you die in real life. Or if your dieing you will dream of die.

This is only the second time. The first time, I was shot and fell on the ground and died.
Now that I think about it.... I didn't die, I got off the ground, then I woke up.
SUPERMAN.

That's a myth. There's evidence that people that have heart attacks and such while they're asleep dream about it but nothing that suggests that it works the other way around.
one time in a dream i had my face and organs ripped out like in that one episode of evangelion where unit 1 goes berserk and runs on all fours you know what i mean?
Someone tried to stab me in my dream last night. At first I taunted him and told him he was a pussy, then I was like actually no I don't want to get stabbed. Then suddenly I had a knife too and all was good.
Dreams are weird!
I dreamed meteor hit my house. I didn't die but I really thought I was going to. It was a very interesting feeling. In my dream I thought "I want to know the exact moment I die, so I'm going to scream. That way when I stop screaming, I'll know it's because I'm dead."
One time I dreamed that a giant zombie thing kept cutting off my head with a huge-ass sword. But then I just respawned all the time he killed me. Does that mean I'm invincible in real life? If I die, I'd just respawn?
I dream of real life. I have deja vu a lot.

Why does everyone have some boring variation of the 'Falling to your death' dream?
I had a dream a couple days ago in which my former english teacher was reading a story to me and a friend and there was a cloud of smoke there and she said the cloud of smoke wasn't allowed to listen and made some kind of weird barrier and then I said I would tell the smoke the story but I lied and said something else instead and laughed about it.
Some other stuff happened too but I don't remember it too thoroughly.
I dreamed that it was November and that I had my copy of Skyrim, then I looked at the date and it was still July, but I still had the copy.
I woke up disappointed though. November is to far away.
If I'm stuck in a nightmare and I begin lucid dreaming, I kill myself to wake up or reset the dream. If I concentrate hard enough on "WAKE UP!" I've been able to wake up as well.
Ignore this signature.
I've heard that if you die in your dreams you die of a heart attack. Because of the shock or something.
This makes sense to me, considering every time I'm about to die my dream changes or I wake up.
All about the grid man.
This is probably one of the most common dreams in existence... its probably to do with a fear of heights...
Last night I dreamt that I did a horrible comedy skit. It was a nightmare because I was forced into it and everybody threw shit at me.
Can you feel it mister Krabs?

Lucid dreaming, that sounds awesome. If you can consciously be in your dream then you can consciously create things then and use them? That's so cool. It's my dream.

one time...i saw myself on the ground from above...like dead and not moving, so that scared the shit out of me
the end
I had no idea that you could ever "die" in a dream. If you truly "died" in a dream, I assume you would wake up, because there's nothing else to do. I think there was this one time where I died in a dream, but I was a dead body and I couldn't really move or anything, so I guess I did technically die. I believe that some people have in fact died in their dreams, making them die in real life. That was the inspiration for "A Nightmare On Elm Street".

That's absolute bullshit. Then why people who are about to die or know they are going to die don't die before of a heart attack?
