Getting a new phone

I am getting a new phone (smartphone) but have ever since I started thinking about it been struggling immensely with going with an Android phone or iPhone. I am a bit opposed to Apple and their tightly controlled environment with limitations etc but on the other hand I love the stabilty, smoothness and simplicity of their iPhones. Android is open, not nearly as limited as iPhone but instead is more complicated and tends to be more unstable, sluggish and not as smooth plus they run a higher risk of getting slower and viruses etc.

I was leaning towards Android but I still can't make up my mind - so I got this idea, how about getting a Android phone and a fourth generation iPod Touch? Since the iPod Touch is so cheap compared to the iPhone I could possibly extend my wallet enough to get both and then having 'the best of both worlds' so to speak. What do you think about this idea? I'm still not sure .. it could still be quite costly. Bic Camera is selling the iPod Touch pretty cheap now so I am definitely thinking about it ..

I say you go with the android phone bro. They only work sluggish if you get a crap android, make sure you get one with a decent proccesor, a decent network (You can have the fastest phone, but if you have a bull internet connection, theirs little point) and get at least an 8 gig memory card (it helps). Ive worked for cell phone companies for the past 2 years, and the iphone is seriously overated bro.

Well I mean .. even the latest ones lags in the menus sometime, I get so easily annoyed by those things.. small imperfections and laggy stuff etc. I know iPhones are overrated but they are still very good. I already have a phone with a good camera and storage but the apps and stuff suck, they are all metcha sluggish and slow except for a few. Considering just getting a iPod Touch and keep my other phone with the good camera.. Seems like a good thing to do.

I'm just soo tired of like buggy systems where you have to configure everything with laggy menus etc. What to doo ...

Puuh I have a life I'm just looking for some advice .. I'm engaged, have a nice family and a lot of friends, good education etc .. I was just looking for some advice, take it easy :-P At least I'm not trying to make some fanboy war although I know it could happen.

I was getting Galaxy S2, but now I'm looking at just getting a iPod Touch to complement the phone I already have (-: They seem to be really nice though, tried Galaxy S2 several times in the store, love the screen!

either way, they both pretty much do the same thing (i mean really, the only big appeal to android is that its not apple and you dont have to jailbreak it :P)
next phone im gonna get will be a windows phone.

I got an HTC Incredible S, it is seriously amazing, on par with any iPod touch I have used. I'm not sure if the iPhone and Touch are the same but I'm pretty sure it's close.

The interface of the Android is so nice and smooth, it is very responsive and it never lags for me. However, the selection of apps while good, don't compare to the iPhone. Expect that to change though, lots of companies are moving over to the Android operating system. It's nice have a decent phone without being fucked in the ass by Apple.

I got a shitty Samsung Gravity 3.... qwerty keyboard, msn... that's all it's really good for... its an 3g phone, so internet is not really worth it, far too slow
