I mean like... Turning your life around after it's sucked so much and you've fucked up so much and then you know, you've had enough of that so you kinda wanna see if you can sort of turn things around??? I dunno if any of you can personally relate, but I dunno it sounds really cheesy. I know people in Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous find God through that sometimes, what are other ways? You guys ever see a dark soul find God?

In my opinion, I would think it would take a lot of time and resources to find God.
Probably the richest and most daring people would try to find him. I don't think I have heard on the news where they had found him, though. God's a sneaky bastard, I suppose.
I know a guy who was a gangster and was one of the most wanted in New Jersey. He met my aunt and uncle, and became a Christian. Now he's raising his daughter right and has stopped drinking, stopped dealing and using drugs, and goes to church with her every Sunday. He's happier than he's ever been and is in the process of getting his life straight and separating himself from his past.
Not sure if that helps at all, but yeah. Figured I'd share that.

"Finding God" is an emotional crutch. You just have to be strong, and try to do the best that you can at life and things will get better.

You can't find God because God doesn't exist. People look at him as an excuse to avoid working towards a goal themselves. Turn your life around, sounds tough doesn't it? Do nothing and let God turn your life around, not so tough. It's also impossible. It's just teaching people to be dependent on something that won't do anything for them, and thus they'll fall back into the same pattern.
People need to learn to rely on themselves.

finding God in todays world is like saying your nazi to the jews. Finding God won't be easy, even as a baptist christian you will still find alot of things confusing and alot of people who really believe they are right on something their not. I can't say it will be easy to find Lord, but when you do following him is hard. No i mean you will want to leave or just not follow the bible on what it has to say, because in truth following the word of God is a daily thing, 24/7 lifestyle is like being born-you'll either obey your parent and as you grow up learn and make smart decisions, or just leave and never look back.
