Also the Chicago Typewriter from RE4 is the best gun ever. It has infinite bullets, each bullet does 10.0 damage (only slightly less than the standard magnum, enough to kill almost every enemy instantly) and it has a fire rate of 10 bullets per second. Why bother getting the Handcannon or the PRL-410 when you have this?

If you ask me, in any Fallout it usually always the biggest most badass looking gun that is best.. not all the time... i picked up the Firelance, and One-shot kills up the ass, so i will say the most useful weapon in Fallout is the Lever-Action Rifle, because its got cheap ammo, has a snipers range, pretty moderate reload.. and the closest thing to it is " Lincolns Repeater" which is a lever-action rifle that shoots .44 Rounds,.. a little more costly, but more damage!!!!!.......... In Call of Duty, every gun is useful... lol ... >3< !, Lawls just got done playing mw2, and theirs always an 8 your old, i mean, i may be under 18, but i'm not 8,.. and theirs always a freaking guy who is complaining about everything, including noob tubers. i always warn the lobby that i'm trying to get the shotgun attachment, so i need 20 noob tubing kills... but you don't need to complain that you fell of a building, and its because somebody pushed you... their was no one there!!!!!!!!!!.. aww whateva, its still fun. so lol this is a long comment.. but i'd have to say call of duty, fallout, battlefield, medal of honor, are my favorite franchises..............................

I think the BFG, but if it could be extended to other types of weapons, the spy's "Your Eternal Reward" knife. You can instantly disguise as anyone you stab, making it nearly impossible to find the spy until it's too late.

The default pistol in Halo was broken as fuck. Most powerful weapon in the game, best in all non-vehicle related situations. 3 headshots for a kill.

"Most useful" Has to be the pistol.
In most games the pistol has unlimited ammunition, can deal moderate damage and with a good aim can headshot. It will never be the strongest however for the amount its used and how its always a good spare weapon makes it a perfect weapon.

A few examples.
Resident Evil 4 - The pistol is perhaps the best weapon in the game when you don't have unlimited weapons. The sheer quantity of handgun ammo you get effectively makes it unlimited unless you play badly. It is able to cripple enemies with 1 shot allowing you to kick them over and stab them, which makes the ammo situation even better. You can use it to shoot any extra items without worrying about using good ammo. It is incredibly quick, cheap to upgrade, and can do amazing headshots.
Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles - I know the previous one was RE as well, however I recently played this so I chose this instead of other gun games, deal with it. The pistol in this game has unlimited ammo and is very fast, at first it isn't very powerful however one playthrough of the game and you can upgrade it to be able to deal incredibly high damage and also most importantly knock back enemies. Making the pistol effectively perfect for boss fights. Shooting the boss fast with it in most cases prevents the boss from attacking where you would otherwise need to use a powerful ammo using gun in its place.
Call of Duty - Switching over to a silent pistol with a good aim is very often a great idea for many situations. A quick trigger finger can fire of I think 5 rounds a second or something which is enough to kill a player. From what I heard anyway a year or two ago think its still true.

Hey cocksucker, enough with the condescending bullshit. It could be played as a parody thread because he was in my opinion attempting at inverted humor, i.e. humor by having the same format as the original, but inverting it. Clearly I read it too deep and throat the OP was going for some sort of parallelism, however he was just trying to make a legitimate thread, which surprised me.

I was seriously expecting a thread full of "portal gun" and "gravity gun" replies.

I guess the Silverballers in the Hitman games were decent enough weapons if you ever messed up a mission and had to go out shooting. Even more useful I guess if you had them silenced. In some of the older games especially (Silent Assassin or Contracts, I think) the Ballers seemed really powerful. I seem to recall them pretty much making the enemy backflip if you put a headshot in them.

Pretty much a pistol, in your secondary weapon slot. So many times has this gun saved my ass in online FPS games, especially Battlefield games. If I'm shooting at a guy, and run out of ammo before he's nearly dead, I'm pretty much fucked. There would be no way to reload in time.

What's this? Ah, another gun. A quick scroll wheel down (or press Y/Triangle) and I've got another gun, with full ammo! Bang bang bang, he's dead, I'm still alive. Most useful gun ever, when in a (virtual) life or death situation.

In the Fallout series of games, I'm quite fond of the hunting rifle. It's good for anything but extreme close range and I try to avoid that as much as possible. It also has the plus of using practically no ammo, and extras for repairs are easy to pick up from Super Mutants. I also grab the Black Widow Perk (+10% damage to male opponents) and the Bloody Mess Perk, so in total I deal 20% more damage to the majority of opponents early in the game. It's an instant kill for most enemies if you can get a head or neck shot.

I use Sniper Rifles, and any secret weopons i find, ( the kneecapper, The terrible shotgun, wild bills side arm, Lincolns repeator, oh and hunting rifle, wait till you level up, after a lot of levels that doesn't do much, unless you have got 100 gun skill, and the perks that up your damage, i have a perk from an add-on that gives me +5% damage and +10% DR when standing still, which i do, because i snipe.. i also have the chinese stealth armour, while wearing it im invisible, its a stealth boy basically, but with less effect, but since i already have !00% sneak, well, i can basically pickpocket somebody while right in front of them. and i'm always god status( a balance good deeds with bad deads.... you know i'm going to start a guide for fallout( based on guns and locations ) and were to get good, bad karma.. and how to get cheap supplies!............... Fallout is my favorite game series... i hope bethesda continues it, because it is the best pot-apocalyptic game series i've played, and add multyplayer to that, without the V.A.T.S system of course,( so no one runs around with the .50 cal and use V.A.T.S for instant headshots lol..)
