Does no one else notice that the article is full of enough political bias to choke the entire staff of Fox News? I'd be willing to bet that either a) she isn't actually being charged with anything yet and the news just blew the investigation way out of proportion after hearing what she could be charged with if they found enough evidence that it was cocaine use that killed her child or b) the police have good reason to believe her cocaine use killed her child and whoever wrote the article ignored the facts in order to create a more sensationalist story.

Would you say the same thing if the child was already born and the mother's cocaine use killed it? Under what scientific definition is an unborn child not alive or not human that would justify killing a child before birth to be any less horrendous that doing so after birth?

You can't legally abort a baby 36 weeks into a pregnancy.

But there is no way this girl could be sentenced to life. She didn't intend to kill her baby, so she can't be convicted of murder. At worst she could be convicted of manslaughter, and even then that's unlikely. They wouldn't be able to prove that the cocaine caused the stillbirth, and the law relating to damage to a baby sustained in the womb is hazy.

Losing control because of an addicting (keyword) substance isn't always entirely your fault, and it's flat out extreme to just condemn her to prison.

She choose to take cocaine to begin with.

So let me get this shit straight here, pregnant woman has a miscarriage, {cocaine is most likely the cause} and now she faces life in prison for murder, even though the baby never came out of the womb.

That is probably the most fucked up reasoning to press murder charges. First off, the baby was inside the mother's womb, and not on the outside, so the murder charge needs to be dropped, second, whoever came up with these charges on a 15 year old, should have their license terminated forever. Last time I checked, there is no crime for being stupid, therefore she shouldn't be tried as an adult, much less at all. {assuming that the cocaine wasn't the cause of the miscarriage, then that's a whole different ballgame right there.}

she was stupid enough to use drugs while being pregnant, but killing a part of your body (while killing yourself) is punishment enough.
