A lot of people say this because of the limitations you get when you become an old person.

But you know what, whatever the hell is wrong with you is going to be fixed if you have the cash.
I'm basically saying each new generation will live longer thanks to advancements in medicine and other stuff.

So yeah, if you're 12 right now, you might live to see 140. If you're 1 right now, you might get to 200. Who knows?

Oh and I forgot to mention that in the somewhat distant future, generations won't ever die, or not die for a very long time.

This.

Unless it was somehow possible to endow the effects of being young upon old geezers.

thats not true... Every person dies eventually. In the future i bet there still just going to go up to like 130. ( half of them ) theres no medicine to help you stay alive, your body will just shut down....

Why would you waste your cash to keep you alive but staying in the hostipal for the rest of your life...

I will make a written siganature later. Actaully ill be to lazy to make one. so this message will be here forever.

With advancements in stem cell research you will be able to replace every part of your body with a newly grown fresh part, leading to technically immortal frankensteinish people.

Sorry man but you don't know what you're talking about. It gets pretty complicated do you really want me to explain why the future generations will take awhile to die?

You sound like an idiot who has only discovered the possibilty of advancing medical sciences today. I doubt you know anything about it.

Oh, when I was a few years younger I used to say that I didn't want to make it past 40. I've changed and I realize that it won't be so bad to be old. Even if my health and physical condition degrade a bit, I just hope I'll keep a clear and fairly sharp mind.

And I also hope to have a loving old man by my side

You ever get the feeling that the period that we live in is staring down some serious shit. Like the future, not long after we're all dead, is going to be really awesome or really horrific. And they'll look back at us and either be like 'poor fools' or 'lucky assholes'.

Those who don't reach old age die young, and I'd take living more any day. Besides, I'm pretty sure that unless your life was a complete failure, most people feel they have lived well enough once they get old, so they probably don't give a damn at that point.

People need to realize that if we keep making medical advancements, and having people live longer, the planet is going to overpopulate.

Human life expectancy is not increasing quite that rapidly.

It's already happening. People often do not understand the concept of overpopulation. Even if they do, many choose to ignore it or believe themselves to be above it. The population will rise and the higher number of humans will lead to new feats of engineering, science, art, literature, and other human triumphs. Due to sheer population size, the number of outstanding individuals will increase.

Humanity will reach a point, possibly in the near future, where things will start to degrade. Then the population problem will be solved by the natural system known as carrying capacity.

Replacement parts can extend your life for a long while. Assuming you're making them from stem cells. Not sure what to do about the saggy skin though.

You say that with such certainty. Yes, perhaps we will discover technologies such as these, or similar creations, but what is equally as likely is that humanity will reach carrying capacity and degrade into strife and a chaotic race for basic survival. People always seem to be under the impression that everything goes up from here, but that's not necessarily true.

Or, alternatively (and possibly more realistically), we will find that these things just aren't possible or that they are undesirable. That's the difference between reality and science fiction. Stopping death is about more than giving the right medicines because no drug can slow aging. Aging is a genetic process. And if we do find a way to keep someone's body biologically alive, we may find that that quality of life is something that no one wants to experience. Eventually, I think that we're going to have to accept that death isn't something we can escape.
