Gaddafi threatens Europe

Muammar Gaddafi has announced during a broadcast yesterday in Tripoli that if NATO doesn't stop its bombing of Tripoli, Libya would strike back.
Gaddafi has threaten to bring the fight "to Europe, to target your homes, offices, families, which have become legitimate military targets, like you have targeted our homes."

So will he? Can he? Libya isn't incredibly powerful and has its hands full with a civil war and a UN blockade. However, you can't forget terrorist attacks like the Lockerbie incident. What do you think?Source

5 bucks says Quaddafi has the scientists from 6 Million Dollar Man working for him. That explains why he thinks he can be rebuilt.....stronger, faster, and better than before.

a typical terrorist tactic. thing is, he probably wants a reaction, he probably wants us to OVER react. if we do what he wants us to do, we will probably have another Iraq on our hands very fast, where we kill one of the most brutal dicatators in power today and become the villian in the eyes of the people he oppressed as we become the invaders instead of the liberators.

like any other egotistical brutal oppressive tyrannical dictator, he's far enough out of his mind to try. These are what I could call 'socially malfunctioning' people. these people who have obtained power and will by no means give it up while they are still alive.

Gadafi knows his end is near, he knows there's no getting out of this shit pit he dug for himself. He figures he will die fighting and be remembered as a hero of Libya.

Either that or he's gone so insane that he thinks it will actually work. Don't forget the lesson of WW2. Hitler figured he could use blitzkrieg tactics to overtake Russia and force it to surrender. it almost worked...

Difference is, Hitler has a large enough fighting force that hadn't been decimated like Gadafi's has. He's so desperate he's even sending women to the front lines to protect his sorry ass.

Personally, I'd like to see Gadafi captured, handed over to the rebels and give him the Saddam Hussein treatment. trial, and swift execution (and let someone record it and make it public).

Like they're not already? Oh yah and Gaddaffi did command terrorist attacks during the 80's but he got away with it.

doubtful europeans would feel to bad for "obliterating" that poor african country.

It seems like it would make sense because he has been attacked by these nations, so any dictator (if he even is one) would want to retaliate by attacking back. I think the most likely scenario is that he will probably give in to the demands of his attackers and while I don't know much about Libya's military, it's doubtful he would ever launch an attack on foreign ground. National leaders say stuff all the time and don't mean it.

he is. the "Revolutionary branch" of Libyan government has all the real political power, and as no surprise there is no legal way in Libya to remove the people in control of it from office, making him a dictator, since there is no way to remove him peacefully. there might be elections, but, Gadafi is still the head honcho and no one is allowed to challenge him.

He won't. He has 3 choices, fight to the death, flee into a nation of the African Union and surrender his power, or give in to the rebels, which would be a 1 way ticket to a trial for crimes against humanity by the ICC, or possibly even being put on trial by the rebel government and most likely executed.

He probably will. He knows he's done for, the one thing he can do is launch an attack. provoke European countries to come after him with ground troops and get as many people on both sides killed as he can before he dies himself.

what NATO really needs to do is target and kill him specifically before he does something highly destructive.
