I know this is rather obvious, but shouldn't you type out coherent sentences and proof read your post before pressing the "Post it!" button?

This is the Video Game Forum, I wouldn't hope for that much if I were you.
To answer OP's question, yes it is pretty much a rip off.
well, that is what Nintendo gets for marketing a weak ass console

That's just Sony being lazy fucks. Rather than design new controllers, they just make a Motion Wand that looks even more like a toy than the Wii.
That was a great post. Right Zach?

The wii is actually quite innovative. It was the revolution in motion sensor games. Now both Sony and Microsoft are doing it...
That's my fear for the Wii U. Nintendo always releases their console first... Which allows the competitors to know what its going up against.
Nintendo fucks up too often, but i still love it.
Ain't the PS Move just the Wii Remote in reverse? Instead of the controller acting as a camera to infrared lights on top of the TV, the wand is acting as the light and the PlayStation Eye on top of the TV interprets it. Along with whatever technology goes in the remote. I'm probably, like, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off, but that's just how I see it.
Regarding the OP, imitation is the highest form of flattery. Just because Nintendo used a motion-sensing controller doesn't mean no other company can. Atari used a joystick and a button on their controller, does that mean no other company should make them? Of course not. In fact companies should utilize such technology and find ways to improve it.

The good thing is about releasing the next-gen console first is that they practically guarantee their sales will exceed whatever Sony and Microsoft make.

Just like the Kinect is a ripoff of the EyeToy :B

EyeToy (yes, I actually played it) was pretty much the lowest of the low. It didn't work at all and had no games that weren't minigame compilations.
As much as I hate Kinect, it improved on EyeToy by making it work; the same way that PS Move improved on the Wii.
Yes the PlayStation Move is better than the Nintendo Wii's motion controls no doubt there. However still a rip off in its own way. The same with Kinect and Eye Toy which is one reason why gamers are still skeptical on both the Move and Kinect.
Yes they're capitalizing on the Wii's success with motion controls, but I wouldn't call it ripping of. At least not as shameless a rip-off as some people claim it is. I mean, do we say that everyone is ripping off Magnavox by creating video game consoles? Technically they are, but if they "rip-off" an idea to create a fresh, unique experience then I encourage it.

Yeah they stole their idea. I like wii's motion control better.

Yeah, it's such a weak ass console, that's why Sony and Microsoft decided to do motion controls too.

Yeah because the controller has fucking anything to do with how powerful a console is.
