No, its the genesis because thats what it was called in America. And we all know America knows best. And while I was growing up everyone in America called it Genesis. It says Sega Genesis on the freaking console not Sega Mega-drive. So I believe you're wrong unless you live in Japan.

But they wanted to call it the the Mega Drive, and it would have been if not for copyright thing. Of course, it just HAD to be America that had the different name, so now most people think Genesis is the ''real'' name.
