Story here.
Discuss.
I think it is nice because he was #1 on the FBI's top wanted list after OBL was killed, and he commited many murders.

According to the news, he murdered 19 people, I guess it´s better that they captured him.

I suppose, but personally i rather prefer murderers running around without consequence.

Well, I see it more in the viewpoint of all his victims and their families.

When I was like 8 or something I thought I saw him at a hotel while I was on vacation. I ran to my parents and tried desperately to convince them that I saw James Bulger, the 2nd most wanted man on the FBI's most wanted list with a bounty of a million dollars.
They didn't believe me. They just laughed...

It was most likely someone who looked like him.
And for the record, what fucking 8 year old knows who James Bulger is?

Huh, seems weird they didn't just shoot him in the head and toss him in the ocean, I thought that was the way the government handled problems. Oh, well, conspiracy theories will always remain.

The Marines were told to kill OBL. This guy was just arrested.

He's 81 and hasn't done anything criminal for over 15 years.
How much does it really accomplish to arrest him? I'm not saying what he did isn't wrong, but the point of capturing him just isn't really readily apparent. I don't see why they couldn't have just kept him under watch until he died and then revealed who he was.
Your opinion is wrong.

He killed 20 people. He deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison.

I heard about that and it reminded me of a story I heard on Snopes.com about this kid named James Bulger who was killed in Britian. How sad it is that both of these names are connected with crime. Well, I guess it is good that he has been brought to justice and people are becoming more aware of this. Hey, after we caught Osama bin Laden, I would think we would be capable of catching anybody in recent times.

If I remember correctly, it was the Navy SEALs who killed OBL on a black ops mission.
Anyways, it's about time they found him. America's Most Wanted was constantly mentioning this guy for the crimes he commited as a Boston mob boss every chance they had. {and justifiably so.} Although it probably doesn't matter what charges Bulger will face, considering he's about ready to croak anyways, so a lengthy prison sentance or even the death penalty would be rather moot at this point.
Somehow, I keep thinking that The Departed was at least somewhat inspired by the Winter Hill Gang, if not the entire Irish mob scene in Boston. This also proves that when America gets their ducks in a row for justice, then no criminal is safe, whether they be a mob boss or terrorist scum.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

Great, now Scorsese can make The Departed 2, where everybody's dead by the end of the film. (again)

Yeah, obviously

I was a weird kid I guess. But really, the FBI's most wanted list always interested me, even when I was a young lad.

What part of "viewpoint of the murder" do you not understand?
