Often when you state the truth, they would claim that they're big-boned or that they're fat because of the "genetics" which is bull crap. Not to mention they never exercise and would sue restaurants just so they can get rich and use the money for liposuction. In a more ironic case, they would use the money they won (it actually happened) and somehow give the money back if you know what I mean.
Then there's the fact that there are common stereotypes that bullies in grade school are either fat or muscular. Parents would spoil and overfed their children by stating that, "They growing kids, they need more food" or "But it's the only way they would stop complaining" or "I don't want to hurt their feelings!".
Also they can be really disgusting, especially when they takes off their shirts...I mean do anyone really need to see that? Now that's what you would call, "Shock and Awe" and "Awe" as in "AW!"
Some fat people can be fun however but in many cases, they can be rude, annoying, and nasty. They would even think that by eating a meal that would feed Africa and drink one can of diet soda, they'll lose weight. To think that people wonder why this country have health problems when it comes to a little thing called obesity.
One time I met a fat kid few years ago, he was pushing people over for no reason and went to do the same to me. When that happened I went to fight him but when I threw a punch, my fist got stuck in his belly until he puffed himself out. Afterward he went to brag about how I can never be able to hurt him so I rapidly fist cuffed him until the flabs were pushed upward and then I hit the pressure points on his belly.
Few minutes later he blew up.
That incident didn't happen, I made it up.
There is one upside when it comes to obesity, if a fat guy falls from a 5 story window he would have a better chance of survival due to the fat cushion.
The point is that when fat people complains on why they couldn't lose weight, what they need to realize that to lose weight, just exercise!

It would appear that you've made this thread with the intention of belittling overweight people as an ignorant minority, who ironically now make up the vast majority of the western world.
Sup?
Fat people know they are fat and deny it.
Dude, actually, genetics can play a large role in someone's weight. Not trying to be racist at all, but look at a lot of Asian people. Because their ancestors were malnourished, they, in turn, are much smaller and thinner than your average guy. And if some white kid's grandparents and parents are fat, he has a much higher chance to be obese than a guy whose whole family is average weight. Plus it depends on how fast a person's metabolism is and how active they are each day.
Boy, I sound like some sympathetic sonuvabitch, don't I? Not fat, though, I would really hate to be fat.
Are the fatties generally ignorant? Or are the ignorant generally fatties?

You're probably used to replying to topics in General in this manner without ever thinking too much about the amount of crap that you writing down, but it's perfectly clear that obesity has now become quite a complex issue within many societies, and is the result of more than someone stuffing their faces. Whether that be genetic predisposition, lack of education about individual diet or range of socioeconomic factors.

hey guys I'm a 16 year old girl that weighs 115 and I'm so fat! I work out on a treadmill 2 minutes a day and I eat only crap and go on facebook all day, why aren't I losing weight?
I hate fat people because I used to be rather chubby a few years back, and I didn't like it.
Turns out eating less really does help the cause.

It's because we've become a more sedentary society, we can be on the computer all day for entertainment and rely more on machines/the extreme lower class/other countries for our manual labor. It also has to do with the mass production of cheap food. I'm not going to throw out the genetics argument entirely but I think that these explanations are more significant. After all, it is a fact that if you eat the right foods in lower amounts and work out enough you will lose weight. It's just whether or not you're willing to put in the effort.
My dad is a fat ass and very lazy in general. He has had two dogs for several years and makes me or my brother take care of them. What is the point in getting a pet if you have no intention of caring for them yourself? Also instead of using a push mower to help lose weight he sits on a riding mower and whines at me when I don't pick up minor junk like a rock beside the road.
You can't really ask him to do anything unless it benefits himself. He offers to buy me some food and a shirt at the store from time to time but not much else.

Definitely, and I think it's a problem that will only get worse before it gets better. I do sense a shift in public perception regarding food, but I think it's reached a tipping point. I honestly think that society underestimates just how much of an impact obesity has, and will have. Heart disease now kills more people than cancer in the United States. Now, if you don't find that alarming, I don't know what will.

From like 4th-6th grade I was a fat kid no joke I was 130 pounds at that age. Then I discovered the Internet and found out what anorexia was. Long story short I got down to a really low weight and didnt gain much of an appetite back.
That's a bad way to do it and I wouldn't recommend it but all it takes is running a few miles a day and being on a strict 2000 calorie diet.
fat people need to learn how to not be fat.
I absolutely agree with you. I have no sympathy for the obese. All your really have to do is exercise. For some people, it takes more exercise for some than others, but nonetheless, it still works. Personally, if it weren't for sports, I would've been obese because I eat like a damn pig.
I have no real idea what you're talking about.
But to be honest, I really haven't met that many fat people. In a country where 1/3 of the people are supposed to be fat, I can count the amount of fat people I've seen and met, on one hand.
But when I do, they just seem to be like normal people, except fat. Most of the time they're completely okay with their weight, to boot.
No, it's every one for you all that is ignorant. If you claim that genetics are or are not a part of it, then you are ignorant. You are ignorant for even bringing up something like that. It plays a minor and inconsistent role in your natural body fat percentage. I'm here to school you on how fat people in the western world got fat so fast. And really, there wasn't anything they could do about it at the time.
You see, there was once a period of American history where anything you ate was generally good enough for you. It was difficult to get fat as long as you got some mild exercise daily and didn't eat an overwhelming amount of food. But then, some time in the 1960's, large food corporations discovered an cheap, easily manufactured ingredient that they started to put in their products in place of sugar. That ingredient was high fructose corn syrup, and it's absolutely terrible for you. But, the worst part of it all, was that it tasted good.
Now, the effects of eating too much high fructose corn syrup became obvious over time, but it was too late. The entire industry had practically switched over to the new ingredient, but the government was catching on. Lobbyists from every company that produced food fought, bribed, pleaded, and coaxed the government not to release any information to the public about high fructose corn syrup. This worked, for a while, which delayed the public's knowing even more. All this time, people who have been relatively fit all their lives are starting to see changes in their weight without really changing their diet. So what was happening? Still, nobody knew.
Finally, the government started to inform the public about the potential harmful effects of high fructose corn syrup. People reacted strongly, but what could they do now? It was no use protesting the new ingredient, because it would be you against the world. The ingredient had already gotten to nearly every part of the food industry. The only option left was to start eating more fruits and vegetables, and things that were devoid of any extra ingredients. Organic foods.
I don't need to remind you how organic food are much costlier than regular foods, because they need to be produced at a different measure. This put poor families in an eternal cycle of buying cheap food that was bad for you, then getting fatter. Without excessive exercise, there was no way to balance the intake to have a healthy body.
Now you see the truth behind fatness in America. It's likely that happened all over the world, but I'm not a professional in foreign politics.
I'm fairly obese from what I've been told when I showed other people my picture.
NSFW If you're easily grossed out by overweight humans.
"Why are fatties generally ignorant?"
It's funny that it's such a problem because it is so simple to avoid.
Overfeeding your children and making them fat is child abuse.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I've been seeing alot of your recent posts, and you have alot more common sense than most people.
Anyways, I am deeply offended by the OP. Why? Because the group of 7(including me) people I hang out with are just about the smartest people at our high school and two of us are fat (one being me). I'm fat because I eat too much. But the thing is, that I rarely eat junk like candy, soda, chips, and fast food. I just eat too much of good food (Still a problem) The other guy is fat because of genetics (suprisingly, he's asian).
Also, I know that I'm fat, and I accept that, I often crack jokes about it if it fits the moment. Even though I'm fat I am an Interesting person with many hobbies(origami, sewing, cooking, playing my clarinet, making games paintball, and many more that I take very seriously) and I do get active (Marching band, paiintball, and casual football w/ my friends).
Because of this, I think the OP is a retard. Oh, and also, I know that I'm not to pleasant to look at without a shirt.

While I feel that overweight individuals should attempt to improve their physique, and the best way to do that is excercise, that's also easier said than done. Especially when combined with supplement s intended for muscle gain, since if used improperly they can make you fat by themselves. Also, genetics and metabolic rates apply greatly to whether a person is fat or not, as well as eating habits. "Diet and excercise," while it may be becoming a somewhat overused term, is really the only way to lose weight while allowing the flesh to shrink as well, unlike liposuction or other means of rapid fat burning/weight loss. When done properly, eating less food of a healthier variety while regularly visiting the gym can change a fat person into a fit person, however as a result of obesity or as a general mindset that led to it in the first place, a majority of obese people are also too lazy to do this.
I wouldn't say they're predisposed to ignorance due to their weight though.
I take absolutely no responsibility for people following my advice. Failing to notice this disclaimer does not exempt one from it. You have been warned. :)
<<<<MY DUB SONG>>>>
Meh. I eat well, I don't snack on crap, I exercise every weekday. Usually with about an hour swim and some cross-trainer if I'm feeling up to that.
It IS hard. It's hard enough first to get the motivation to want to excerise because you're conscious of people looking and judging you for it. Can I do more excerise than I currently am? Probably not for risk of a fucking heart attack if I pushed myself too far.
I'm not ignorant, I'm really fucking fat and I am attempting to do something about it. But you don't know actually know hard it is to lose weight when you have so much to lose and you generally feel unfit and unable to do more than you want to.
Because the hardest part isn't trying to lose the weight by eating well and excerising, it's keeping the motivation to continue to do that when you don't have a good week with weight lose and you feel like people just see you as a fat useless slob. When you feel judged by every skinny person you see then it's hard not to just want to fall back into your old bad habits, because it does feel like why bother? When you see people like you who appear to have just a one track mind when it comes to overweight people and you don't feel any support from them just because you're fat then it does get you down and your mental strength to go on is hard to keep finding.
Want to help fat people then support them. Don't write them off.
people are fat in america because our food guidelines have been fucked up for years
emphasizing too much grain and not enough protein
shit like bread, sugar, pasta, muffins etc are easily what will make you the fattest
and people in america love that shit
you see this picture? fuck this picture. it's stupid
I haven't met many fat people where I live, but when I do, it's not good.
Also, a crash diet is worse for kids: The body adapts its metabolism to the food you're intaking...and so when you stop taking a lot of food nothing really happens, due to the flexible metabolism at your age.
Then, when you stop, you take a lot more food, and since your body's metabolism is low for some time, you burn less and so become more fat.
I may or may not be wrong.
