This week.
For anybody who doesn't have it yet, this is a great chance to get in on the game.
No reason for anybody to not have TF2 on PC now.

Unless they don't have a PC capable of running the game.

Or they don't like it

That was my first thought. I wont have a computer capable of running TF2 for a while now. Though, I guess that puts me in the minority.

Or they don't like it
like me.

Unthinkable!

Unless you're this infamous guy.

Joking aside, I've had TF2 for a while via Orange Box. I'm pretty sure the same can be said for a lot of Steam users. I've heard rumors about TF2 turning into a "Free to Play" game similar to the F2P games section they put up a while back.

I'm on this.

I've never played more than 2 games of Team Fortress 2, because a few years ago my brother bought the orange box for xbox for some reason, beat portal and Half Life, and immediately sold it.

However i'm not looking forward to being part of the noob crowd that will undoubtedly be looked down upon by other players.

Oh dear god that better not happen. TF2 already has enough children/schmucks/griefers/retards/peopl e ruining the fucking game. Last thing needed is more of them since then they wouldn't have to pay those $20 for the Orange Box.

Awesome for people who don't have it yet, I've had it since the day orange box was released thankfully. Sadly I'm currently out of a computer that can run it, I'll have my new computer built in a few pay cheques thankfully.

As far as I know it's only free for this week. They've done promotions like this before. I think during one promotion they were selling TF2 for 50 cents USD or something like that.

I'll download it, so that I can have it ready for when I have a good computer.

there has been a lot of critism and hate for valve since the speculation that TF2 will be free to play

Im just glad Tf2 will be valves money making game which will hopefully bring in a lot more players and fund their other games.

and its not like the idea of a Classic team fortress 2 mode hasent been in developtment

Great, now Steam is down so it looks like quite a few people won't be getting their free TF2. And I have to play offline games.

Do we get to keep the game? I bought it before, but I forgot the password to the account and I forgot the email account name too.

I think tf2 is less intimidating to join then other online games. Its pretty straight forward what to do and as long as you listen to server rules people won't care too much if u suck.

My PC sucks too much to run TF2, but I'll download anyways. I'll keep it until I get a brand new PC. I'm so fucking intelligent.

It's only free for the week, you still have to buy it like the rest of us did.

I thought it was that you could get it for free this week only, like when Portal 1 came out for the Mac?

Turn all of the graphic options all the way down and make the resolution smaller. Even a terrible computer should be able to run it that way.

This week only. Then you gotta pay. It's only $10 anyway.

I am considering downloading this game now. Once the free week is over, the game is unplayable without some funding though, am I correct?

For about the 100th time. Yes.

The game is free this week only, afterwards it will be unplayable till you purchase it.
