what does it meeeeeeeeeean?
i think it was a mix of whatever was the easiest and most common....so it was easy to draw a cylinder and fast food is very common.
what do you think?
maybe they were designing a kids cartoon and they started going insane and thy're reach back to reality was ATHF

They were originally heroes and they fought a guy named hunger. GAH!!!!!!!
aqua teen hungerforce is possibly the least deep show on television. analyzing it in any way is stupid and completely pointless.
They first debuted on Space Ghost: Coast to Coast in the episode "Baffler Meal". that may explain some of it.

I always thought that show was for stoners. That makes stoners watch it if it sates their hunger. HUNGER FOR LAUGHTER.
Hur hur hur
I wouldn't write the show off as dumb and pointless just yet.
the episode with "MC Pee Pants" was REALLY meaningful.
to take it literally it was talking about gangster rap (mainly waka flaka flame) and how it's just not helping anything. And how from a buisiness perspective it makes sense to provide mindless entertainment.
ALSO the backgrounds that have impact on the story i.e. the neighborhood and the ghetto resaurant that they dropped the spider off) were all real pictures.
All of those places existed, granted without the outlandish story, but still existed.

Word.
And its because the people at adult swim are fucking geniuses and routinely nail your mom until she queefs out questioning children that think everything has a meaning behind it.

lol
im not out of contorl. your reading this wrong. I just think this show is really cool and is actually about something.

by following the logic of analyzing all shows you could say why is spongebob a sponge? why does he drink water? he's failed his driving test 300 times, and after each test he's supposed to wait another year to retake it. spongebob is over 300 years old. i just blew your mind.
LOL
very nice : )
but you can also argue that spongebob is a spnge because he lives in the sea, and everything is sea themed. whille on the other hand humans and foond exist in the same world
I don't look for any deep meaning while I watch Adult Swim.

lol my thoughts exactly boss.
what would stop a viewer from looking for meaning in things that people have spent their lives making?
thanks newgrundling!
but now it's gone more of a "is ATHF a meaningless show?"
I always thought Aquateen was unfunny and dry.
They are food because Cartoon Network seems to have a boner over food related shows and characters.
Prove me wrong.
That was a great post. Right Zach?

i was thinking the exact same thing. symbolism my ass.
its not supposed to make sense and ATHF does not use symbolism to the "MAX" lol
they were first in an episode of space ghost coast to coast
yeeeee
It's simply meant to be silly and non-sequitor. Now, I'm not a fan of the show so I can really only go on from what I have heard about the show, but I believe every episode features the characters being killed or destroyed in some way that's always repaired by the next episode. A show like that is obviously not going to care at all about making sense. In fact, even the title makes absolutely no sense. Just sit back and watch the madness.

i think you got it mixed up with south park.
they dont make it very common to kill one of the main characters.
they get pretty hurt but rarely die.

I think your looking to much into it and not enjoying it for the crazy fucked up confusing mess that it is. That's what I think.

Also Southpark is a perfect example of why your post isn't really valid. Kenny use to always die and South Park (usually or always) have some kind of message behind each show. It was more apparent back when Kenny died almost every episode and at the end the boys would have the "What we learned today" speech.
