I'm left handed and I honestly can't think of any benefits. One disadvantage is that your hand sometimes smudges the ink when you write.
It won't be too bad if you lose your right hand.

Most artists are left handed. Nothing changes, what makes you think the hand you right with affects anything?

Yeah you get ink all over the bottom of your hand if you do a lot of writing.
And it's harder to use scissors designed for right handed people.
And can openers are awkward.
And almost all doors are easier to open with your right hand.
You know what I hate being left handed.
If you're from someplace that drives on the left, driving a stick shift wouldn't feel as weird.

Yes if anything we have more disadvantages. People always say "Oh but aren't left handed people more creative?" and I think well if I had any creativity I'd be using it, but it ain't here.
About the smudges though, I hate it. I don't like using biro pens either so I run an even bigger rush with my proper ink pens. It takes me ages to write birthday cards because I have to position my wrist like above the card but not too high that my writing goes all funny :(

My cousin's left handed and the only thing he ever complained about was when sometimes in school if he sat to the right of someone he'd sometimes bump his elbow into their's.
Well I read that you're more likable as a TV persona or political figure when you're left-handed because the TV flips the image around and it appears that you're right-handed, which appeals to the audience, where as right-handed people appear left-handed on screen.

Same...when I have to do a report or something, I always do it in pencil...or I twist my wrist so that it doesn't smudge the ink. If I didn't do anything, the whole report would be just a little more than blue ink.
