Yeah, it's just that I didn't really like it, and I KNOW he can do better. The animation wasn't smooth, it was like 2 minutes long, and there were 2 jokes in it.

Really, Egoraptor's shorts have been getting progressively worse. He is truely now milking the awesome series for all it's worth. It's just hasn't got that same wit, charm and creativity as the previous ones. He hasn't done them a long time, with the exception of Awesome Chaotix which was terrible, and Awesome Reach which was actually pretty entertaining, even though it had nothing to do with Halo.

In this day and age, people are just voting 5 because it's Egoraptor. But of course, if you even dare try to write a review about one of his latest movies which isn't a 10, his army of fanboys will come flooding to press the - button. Awesome Noire one only had one real funny gag in it, and it was a shock laugh.

It's better to tell the author what you think about their submission and suggest ways they may improve their skills than blindly 5/5-10/10 every submission you see with reviews such as "lol funny" and "[quote from flash here] lol", even if you're a fan of their work.

This was just embarrassing. But I liked Awesome Noire even if he can do better. I'm not going to vote him down heaps just because his previous work is better. I look at his cartoons the same way I would if the cartoons were made by other any newgrounder.

That's what I'm trying to say though, people aren't doing that. I viewed his movie as the movie itself, not as the author. I watched it. The animation was ok. Drawing talent is good, frames per second is average. The plot, terrible. Only one decent joke, which, as I said earlier, was a shock laugh.

The kiddies that own the flash portal take one look at a movie that makes them chuckle and vote 10. That movie deserved a 4.

I think you're just comparing it Egoraptor's other work. If the animation hadn't been made by Egoraptor, then it'd look pretty good compared to the usual crap that floods the portal every day. When you think about it, it's still a good animation, maybe not as funny or witty as his other work, but it shows skill. Maybe so many people are disappointed because they know Egoraptor can do better.

It's hard to come up with good material and be rushed to make a movie just for it to be bashed once you make it. It's not like people aren't asking for these movies.

As for the flash, I liked this, and I don't know what you're talking about, with them getting worse. I like them, I still like them, and as long as he keeps making them because he likes to make them and not because he wants critical acclaim then I suspect I'll always like them.

I think you also have to take into account how hard these movies are to make, and how taxing they are on your own personal time. He is just trying to give you a funny movie, appreciate it.
