I just brought in 51 games into gamestop and they took only about 30 half of them were GBA and the others the guy didn't take because they were about 6 years old. I think that's total bullshit that they don't take GBA or old gamecube games. But hey I still got 93 dollars worth from the games and then two 25 dollar gift cards so around 140 dollars worth towards games.

You're an idiot for giving games to Gamestop. Put them on ebay and get about £5-10 for each one.

I'm american I don't use Euros and besides my parents used Ebay and Ebay took like 5000 dollars from them so GameStop was the better choice.

Blarghsdf, yet another person who thinks ebay is just one person. They just happened to encounter one of the pricks in an ocean of legitimate sellers. Telling legit sellers from scams is pretty easy too. I've bought dozens of games on ebay and haven't been ripped off once.
Besides, you would have been selling, not buying. You couldn't have been ripped off.
Even if you're paranoid about ebay you could sell it on amazon or craiglist or something.
If you put every game on ebay for $5 each you'd have $150 right now to spend on whatever you want.

Okay I like Gamestop. I like buying games from Gamestop, I like buying strategy guides from Gamestop, and I like the customer service I get at Gamestop. However Gamestop does rip you off with the trade-ins.
I just hope that you didn't give them a Pokemon GBA game because they'll give you chump change for those and turn around and it sell it for around $25. You either should've used eBay or went looked around to see if you can find a retro video game store where you could get more money for your stuff.
Hell just opening up a yard sale and putting an advertisement outside of Gamestop with a sign saying COME BUY OLD GAMES AT GOOD PRICES you could even do trades and see if others would come to you with better stuff.
Got a flea market in your community? Chances are you can sell your games there and get good money for them.
I know I tried to trade in Super Mario Galaxy at Gamestop and they were gonna offer me $10 - $12 for it even though I saw the exact same game, on sale USED for $45.00. I asked for them to pay me that amount and they refused.
I took it to my retro video game store and I saw the same game on the shelf for around $20 and I traded it in for $13 store credit. Yeah they're still making a profit, but they're treating you better than Gamestop.

Well, I heard numerous times that Gamestop is not a good place to sell your games, but it is no wonder that they don´t take GBA games anymore, it is doubtful that they would be sold.
Without truth, there is no justice.

I think he meant 250. Just did the math so 51 times 5 is 255

That wasn't really a wise idea, considering that GS trade-in value is rather piss-poor, compared to other places. You're better off selling them on Ebay, another game store, or even a yard sale, so that you can get more money out of it, then trading it to GS. Plus, the market for GBA games is rather minimal at best, so you should've known that you wouldn't get a lot for them to begin with.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.

You should've sold them at a garage sale or something, see if they sold.

I fucked up there, I meant to say $250 since he had 51 games(obviously no one would stop you selling on ebay). Also that's just if he priced every game at $5. Slightly rarer ones could go up to $10 and still be perfectly reasonable.

You got ripped off. If you want to make any real money, sell them on ebay. Gamestop needs to make a profit, so they will pay you less than if you sell them yourself.

We've tried to sell our junk at yard sales but no one ever comes to yard sales in Marianna.

Best Buy is also buying used games now, and with a return you get a card for 20% off your next game purchase or something of that sort.
Then they say they will also pay you 20% more for your games than Gamestop.
I dunno, if you have one locally pop in and ask. I'd hate to be quoted for wrong information. That's just what the lady at the counter told me yesterday when I went in there to buy that hardcore battery for my EVO phone. Hate that stupid phone.

That's because neither of them checked the seller's history (or reputation).
