AVAT - Art Tournament 2011

Please only post finished art, no wip's. Also, this is not a discussion thread so please leave this thread only for entries; otherwise your post will be deleted.

Welcome to the place where all 'AVAT' artists will submit their pieces. This is the first of the AVAT art tournaments, so hopefully this turns out well.

A massive 64 artists all signed up for this competition, making the atmosphere of the tournament far more exciting. They will each compete against each other, to try and outdo their opponents and get the best score they can out of each round. From this round, the top 32 artists will continue to the second round where they once again will try to win.

This competition is mostly for enjoyment, so please do not create tension between anyone.

Rewards:
The rewards this year consist of store credit and free art commissions.

1st Place: $60 store credit and a coloured art piece of your choice by VividGrim
2nd Place: $50 store credit and a black-and-white art piece of your choice by VividGrim
3rd Place: $40 store credit and a black-and-white art piece of your choice by VividGrim
4th Place: A black-and-white art piece of your choice by VividGrim
5th Place: A black-and-white art piece of your choice by VividGrim

This will help the viewer understand that the submission you made was for this tournament.

What is the theme for round 1?
Robot is the theme decided for this round, just in time for Robot Day. Many of the artists like to do things for Robot Day but are never motivated, so now they are. Please do not plagiarise any art or your art will be deleted and you will be disqualified from the tournament. If you are also caught collaborating with anyone else, you will also be disqualified.

The themes will get more challenging as rounds go on.

What is the canvas size for our art?
You are allowed to use any size you want, as long as it is clearly visible.

How will the rounds be arranged?
The first round (this round) will start off with 64 artists. Everyone is competing against each other, so there will be no 'one-on-one' competition this year. The top 32 highest scored artists will then continue on to the next round, from here, 16 artists will continue to the second last round, which will then be cut down to 8 artists for the final round.

Round 1: 64 Artists
Round 2: 32 Artists
Round 3: 16 Artists
Round 4: 8 Artists

Will there be a break in between each round?
Yes, there will be a 1 week rest in between each round so artists can do whatever.

Who are the judges?

These 9 judges will take their time into reviewing a few of the art pieces as well.

When are all art submissions due?
5:00am Saturday the 2nd of July, Newgrounds time. You are given 3 weeks to complete your art.

Points will be taken off if you are:

5 minutes - 30 minutes late = 5 points
31 minutes - 2 hrs late = 10 points
2 hrs 1 min - 5hrs late = 40 points
5hrs + = disqualification

It is best to finish early so you are not stressed about point deductions.

Am I allowed to post my art early?
Yes, the earlier the better.

ITS DONE!! I'm proud for a 1st time editing a pic with a program, looks pretty inconsistent( i Apologize) but i do not have a tablet yet, and i use my left hand to draw(lefty). i will go in to re-edit sometime when i get my intuo4. i used the burn tool to shade it and things, now that i do know how to use a program abit i am anxious for my tablet.
