Indie = 00s
Techno = Early 90s
Rap = 00s
Hip Hop = 80s

I couldn't love anyone more than I love you right now.
I'm going to say the 60's because of The Beatles.
And the 70's because of all the amazing rock bands from that era.
Although I personally prefer 90's music; the 60's and 70's are definitely the best decades of music.
I don't know what to put here.

all one of them?
I'd have to be a typical twat and say the 1960s. 90s are close second. The only good things to come from the 80s are The Smiths and The Pixies and the shitty beginnings of great bands like Nirvana and Radiohead.

OH YOU!!!!
Every decade has great music and bad music, but for me, the 90's has the greatest music.
Metal - 80s
Rap - 80s
Pop - 80s
Rock - 80s
Video Game music..hmmm.. 90s
the 80s had some great rap and some good rock in there, along with the fact that 80s pop is the best pop that was ever made! the 90s had some good stuff but it just wasnt the same.
And no one mentions the 50's! Well, to the 60's. That was the best decade for music. Rock just came out, and every single rock song is based off of what these guys did in the 50's and 60's. 80's was awesome too, Journey, Sting, and The Police... AND GANGSTA RAP CAME... but then again, pop came... it's like rap's disfigured, mentally retarded sister.
You do realize that most of you who are saying you enjoy music from the 80s and 70s are actually just imitating your parent's choice in music. Silly younguns haven't developed your own taste or preferences yet and you don't even realize it.
The 960s, my man.
I don't have a serious answer.
Rap = 80's
Rock = 80's
Metal = 00's
Techno = 90's
House = 80's
Disco = 70's
The only reason people think older generations are good is because the bad shit that's popular gets filtered out. Remember Aaron Carter?
Exactly.

Remember him? I bought every album he released... with my own money.
When referring to a decade, there's no apostrophe between the number and the "s", people. >:(
Grammar Nazi away!

Yeah, he was like Justin Bieber, except I don't think he was nearly as popular.
60s-70s: rock
80s: Metal
90s: grunge
00s: Alternative
10s: ???

Exactly.
But I like the 70's for music. I dont listen to really much if anything from the present. So I can say thats a decently accurate statement, but it's not fully true.
