I guess Digimon would be more famous then, probably( it existed before Pokémon, as far as I know). I would miss the games, since they provide competition for casual and experienced gamers.

it will be good.
Seriously, I never understood the interest of pokemons...
My childhood would have been worthless.
my penis would have been 10 inches longer.
If it was gone then something bigger would be forced to replace it making a very little difference.
something like digimon or yugioh or some other similar-like game would have taken its place

Pokemon have started way back 1996.
It was so popular that even facebook users [old and young] have use pictures with its characters as there profile pictures. It would be a different and boring world without this cute pokemons.
A great city to live where Peterborough houses resides, Canada Ontario.A city of rich cultural activities and attractions.
If it never existed then I would've put sixty hours on other games.
Nintendo would still be making millions, but with a different game.
If Pokemon would have never came out then everyone would of like Digimon and the world would be a better place.
My life would have no meaning.

True, true.
Yugioh would have been popular, though.

The World would be dull and pointless without pokemon. I've grown up with pokemon since red&blue came out! some good memories were staying home from school *i might have been sick* and getting my charmander lv up!! :) Goodtimes

It would effect a lot of different gamers. Because Pokemon has been a building block in shaping a lot of gamers.
I would've had very little to do on lunch breaks in elementary school.
I got that Kurt Cobain type of mind-frame

Pokemon had a year or so head start on Digimon. I agree that without Pokemon though that it might have taken the top spot but at the same time without Pokemon as a rival it might not have reached the height that it did.
Personally, life would be a bit more tedious. Generally, most people would find interest in something else.
Thanks, Chdonga, for the awesome sig.
If Pokemon never existed then I wouldn't be able to laugh at people who attempt to say some other RPG series they like is the "most popular" and "sold most copies" etc. as it is always fun to point out how Pokemon series is the first by a long shot compared to the other series of RPGs they may consider better.

The gameboy and on would have never caught on. Seriously, they would have pulled a PSP and died. Just like the PSP.
It almost didn't, creating the game made game freak bankrupt and the developers had to keep on going on to other projects like Yoshi to get the money and resources for Pokémon Red and Blue. If it didn't then I would be playing Yu-Gi-Oh a lot more.

Pokemon never really affected my life, since I only saw the cartoon at age 16, and never bothered with any of the games (except for the early Pokemon Assassin games on Newgrounds).

If Pokemon had never existed, then maybe I would know what the world was really like...

Then you wouldn't understand the psychology behind the games. I guess the world would be different, with like lasers and robots rising up and dead everywhere getting run over by tanks.
