i don't like it
tried out the smoke simulator in blender, i'm glad how it turned out though you shouldn't expect anything 3d related from me, this two second footage took two hours to render here it is
WIP's,if only i finish you and put you out of your misery.
120 frames, 5 seconds of footage but it took 9 hours to render.
right now it's just an explosion, what'd happen if i were to add spaceships fighter jets and even more explosions?

Another 50 hours of your life gone, and it would look more awesome, that's what would happen.

Ok, as an ex. animator, i have to give you some tips on the animation. First of, learn easing. What that is, the movements start out really slow (1-2 pixels of movement), periodicaly gains speed, reaches top point of speed and then does the same thing but backwards. Something like this: |-|--|----|--------|----|--|-| where | represents frames and - represents movement. Next up is shakyness. I'm not talking about the line shakyness, but about the whole figure. When he jumps up and wiggles his arms (i guess), it looks really shaky because of the fact that they move instantly in the next frame. This would be sorted out with easing. The legs look very smooth because they're partially eased, so yeah, it's the main thing to learn for any animator. And lastly, foot placement. At the very beggining of the animation, he is crouching down, and his legs are sliding towards each other. That shouldn't happen. They should remain in their places. But other wise, i think that you managed to pull of the perspective just right, with a bit more practice, you should get a lot better.
BTW, can we upload animations to art forum? I don't wanna leave this portal guise D:
