So is Cerberus still aiming for the Project Overlord thing that they were doing in Mass Effect 2?

What happens if Shepherd dies at the end of ME2? Also if your BFFs with cerberus?

Then you can't transfer your save.

Also if your BFFs with cerberus?

Dunno the specifics, but Cerberus is still a major antagonist in ME3.

Just beat Mass Effect 2 again - Debating on whether or not I should transfer this character over to a fresh start of ME2 and try beating the main story on insanity (for the trophy) before Mass Effect 3, and then try covering the rest of the trophies I missed too.

Hmm

Yeah, whatever.

I got excited for the game's release too early and now I've run out of enthusiasm and i'm in withdrawal or something. Who wants to go rob gamestop with me? We know they've had the game copies shipped to them already, and they're just sitting there in the back room, taunting us.

Sick fucks

Doesn't the game need online activation? U can steal the game...doesn't mean u can play it

One big thing that bothered me about Mass Effect 2 that I just learned today is that when you have a romance with Tali, she DOES take off her mask - But you don't get to see her face.

I'm really hoping that something happens in Mass Effect 3 where you get to see her face, even if it means her dying and Shepard taking off her mask to see her face one last time (if the game is aware that the two of you had a romance in your Mass Effect 2 save). Or even if they have the comic thing like they did with the 2nd, though I don't think that came with the original copies of the game, but in the copies that were released some time after the original launch. Or did they all come with a code for it or something?

Either way - I hope that we can see her face, it was a real piss off knowing that her mask was off and I couldn't see how pretty she was. She's my favourite character, so if I don't get to see her face, I am going to be extremely disappointed...

Yeah, whatever.

A PC collectors edition that is, Sainsburys is still doing the PS3 one on it's site from the looks of it.

I really hope it's good, but definantly not going to buy it. Will play it of course ;)

Been reading a lot about of what the producers and staff had to say in the interviews and quite frankly despite the wonderfull products they made in the past they have proven to be able to screw things up and how they threat the fans of their franchise in interviews actually starts to portray the company more and more devious in my eyes.
When I then heard of the DLC coming out on the same day which is part of the story ( apparantly a character really intwined with the story for another 10 bucks), which is really not what DLC is about. DLC is about prolonging the game experience not to chip away at it's story.

I think this will be the last good one before the series is milked and put into the mainstream.

But you still won't buy it?

Also - I doubt they'd release DLC that is extremely crucial to the game's storyline - Bioware aren't total cunts, just because they've teamed up with EA it doesn't make them the bad guys that we all have ourselves convinced EA is.

It's DLC for another squad character, am I right? How important can it be? My guess is not very - I got through the last game without Legion on my first playthrough because I forgot to activate him - He is pretty important to the story, however - As he tells you about the Geth and what exactly is going on, from a Geth point of view.

Did I need Legion to complete the game? No - Did I need Legion to shed some light on one thing that I could have went the rest of my life without knowing, and still have had an incredible Mass Effect 2 experience? Yes.

It's just a character, and I'm sure people are overreacting about it, just like I worry about things when a brand new game from a franchise I love comes out.

Yeah, whatever.

I think so. I'm pretty sure that your ME3 squad will be all the living characters from ME1, with the addition of James Vega.

Doesn't Ashley die in the second? Or she can at least? I think she might even be able to in the first one.

I may be wrong however.

In the first you have a choice to save Ashley or Kaiden, so one of them will die no matter what. In ME2 you go to a colony under attack by collectors where whichever squad member you saved is stationed, and after you kill all the collectors they come out and bitch about you working with Cerberus for a few minutes.

So either Ashley or Kaiden will die in the first, but no matter what one of them will survive.

It'll suck if you'd killed Wrex in the first and had Garrus and Tali die in the second, because I guess that'd mean in the 3rd your team would only have, like, 3 people on it.

All of them except Wrex, actually. Wrex is busy doing Krogan stuff.

Fingers crossed that he'll rally the Krogan, domesticate the Rachni, and have his troops ride them into battle against the reapers.

Well, just one more day. I've been waiting for this game for a long time, and TBH, I can't believe it's almost here. When I pre-ordered back in June, March 6th looked so far away. I just hope my computer doesn't crap out on me while I'm playing it (it's been a bit screwy lately), and that it's every bit as good as the first two. I know ME2 was a tough act to beat, but I have the utmost faith that BioWare can top their previous success.

Well, in approximately 36 hours, I'll know for sure.

I played the demo and I just couldn't get into this game. The gameplay didn't feel that fluid to me and the story didn't feel that emotional and attempts at it seemed like they flopped. This is one of the few games that is acclaimed that I just can't get into.

Probably because you have no clue about what's going on. Play the second game (first isn't EXTREMELY important and it takes a lot of time to really get in to the story, once you hit about the 4 hour mark of gameplay time then you're sucked right in) - I forgot about Mass Effect altogether - Then I saw my brother playing the second one and figured fuck it, I'll give this sequel a shot.

Fell in love all over again.

I'm stressing out right now trying to find a ride to and from the midnight launch tonight. Nervous as hell to be totally honest - Not sure what to expect in the big picture of Mass Effect 3 and it's going to be a devastating ride I think.

Yeah, whatever.

The leaked endings for mass effect 3 were some of the worst things I've ever seen. I have no respect for bioware any more.

Your fault for watching them dude.

I for one haven't seen anything besides spoilers.

I used to work on this website and I just started again today - I wrote this gigantic Mass Effect 2 review.

Hopefully if I end up finding a ride to the midnight launch tonight I'll have a "first impressions" article up on Mass Effect 3 by tomorrow around this time.
We'll see. I do need to sleep eventually, but that's unlikely, cause y'know... Mass Effect

The demo really isn't great storywise if you don't understand what's happening, and even then i'll admit it felt a bit rushed. Mass Effect is a game that takes a little while to get into, more so in this case considering almost the entire demo was combat, and that's only a part of what Mass Effect really is.

Assuming you're not trolling, please don't post spoilers here without an obvious warning that gives people time to realize what they're reading and stop if they want to. Especially before the game has actually been out long enough for people to have had a chance. I realize how bitchy I sound right now, but being a huge Mass Effect fan i'm watching this thread pretty closely and i'd kill myself if I accidentally read the ending to my favorite series.

Even if it's actually bad I still wouldn't want it spoiled, I liked Dragon Age 2 so odds are i'll like ME3 no matter what.

Seriously, don't be a dick

I'm just taking a precaution because i'm a very paranoid person and i'm worried somebody will soon go on to spoil the ending.

If you check out https://twitter.com/#!/AllianceNewsNet - Bioware is putting on a fake 'live feed' of tweets of an attack by the Reapers in Los Angeles.

If you check out the #solcomms they put in every post, people are going NUTS. Photoshopping images of reaper attacks in real life photos.

Some are very impressive, I'm saving them!
