It's ignorant to assume that people who don't believe in God are insane, but it's equally as ignorant to project beliefs in an attempt to invalidate the beliefs of people who don't rely on logic to hold their ideals.

What is God suppose to look like? Dost Him not proclaiming to his followers that He exists prove that He does not exist?

OP you make me sick. I do not believe in a god, and I am in no way religious, but I'm not about to label myself because of that. With no disrespect to religious believers, I just don't see any need to call myself an "athiest" because I don't believe in something. In my eyes it's like giving yourself a name because you don't believe in unicorns, vampires, or hobbits. It's just understood that in your own life these things don't reach the surface of what matters to you.

OP, don't be so disrespectful. If you claim that your are agnostic, then you probably have more open views on this matter than I, believe it or not. But this doesn't mean you should go out and make posts about how people who believe the opposite of you are insane. Furthermore, it will never change anything.

I am not an athiest, but because I have to be skeptical of all theories and I accept the fact that God could possibly not exist, Using the argument that Religion is evil because of X isnt really logical. By that logic anything that holds some sway of power is evil, Technology is evil because it forces people to build bigger and stronger weapons to kill other people. Money is the most evil because people actually kill others so that they can achieve more domminance and prosperity over their rivals. That kind of circular logic is one of the reasons why arguments against having a system of belief is in itself Insane.

The Burden of proof relies on the person making a claim, but is it actually a claim if they state they believe in some higher power without demonstrating any reasons why it may be true, or would it fall under more personal reasons?

Sure we have evidence life can exist on other planets, but they are not multi cellular life, We have never seen an documentated evidence for "The little green men" or any signs of civillazation out in the universe.
