CHECK OUT THIS AWESOME COMMERCIAL FROM 1983

Here's what we dug up in our broadcast last Friday, browse through and find something you like!

See anything that should have a shot on the front page?

I demand Castle Crashers become compatible with my Colecovision.

I watch this commercial and think to myself, Man, I wish I could have experienced 80s gaming.

Then I saw the controller.

No thanks.
I like the gems from the portal.

Also, this thing you do with digging the portal each Friday makes me wonder about the scavenger hunt... :P

Yeah I guess this could make the treasure hunt a little harder, although we do still miss stuff.

Hey Tom, Luis used a new version of the API in his game? When will that be released? Also, the video was great. :3

I think the benefits from this outweigh the benefits of the treasure hunt though.

Didn't that guy play one of the psychiatrists in Good Will Hunting? Haha.

This kinda reminds me of the fake commercials that Pixar did before Toy Story 3 released. Good job Tom!

I also noticed that Egoraptor was using it in his flash that's on the FP right now. Does it produce better results or is it just prettier??

Newgrounds was around in 1983, I thought it was around since 1995, Did you have some secret company in 1983 and supported it with Colecovision.

Tell me what you think of my experimental Movie - probably the only movie on NG that's done in this style! ^^

Dam wasn't aware of this. This was actually all done on paper with pastel though - not digitally if that changes anything.

I don't trust the footage. Someone could have dubbed their voice and electronically alter it to sound crackled and muffled. The VHS static effects can be duplicated. The advertisement's script is too hokey. The ad is featured on the Newgrounds' YouTube page and features a variation of the Tank logo that is converted to look like it came out of the early 1980s. All of this reeks of hoax.

When people claim they found a commercial on some old tape and want to showcase it to everyone, you can bet that some larger-than-usual deception is being carried out. Think of who is presenting it, folks: the same cocky bastard who thought a game that pays tribute to the movie "The Room" is a great idea, citing the movie as the best ever made.

In other words: don't bend over to this crap.

Damn, I actually want to play that game. Get to it, Tom!

Woah you really got into this! If it's fake it's probably a joke and you shouldn't take things so seriously.
