Good day dear newgrounds i come with a serious question today.
I am seriously considering growing a beard but im not entirely sure how to make it grow and prosper at its best,
So i ask you
assuming there are anyone with beards here...so far im only aware that wade has a beard..
How did you get your beard to grow so good and did you have to shave of the first small hairs you got for it to grow more sturdy?
Or did you do something else?

Keep shaving your neck.

Shave erryday for a month before attempting a full grow.

Strange, some said to not shave alot and just let it grow, but it seems more sensible to shave since the beard will probobly adapt and get rougher and more awesome!

Your facial hair is going to grow the same regardless of how often you shave it. The claim that shaving more often causes it to grow in thicker is false (more like, as it grows in thicker and faster you are forced to shave more often).
Basically, unless you have the right genes, you aren't going to be able to grow a decent beard until you're like 30. Some people can grow them at 15, some people by 20, some by 25. I can grow a full beard, but it's weak outside of the goatee area so I tend to get sick of it after a couple weeks and go back to clean-shaven/stubble.

You're 17. Do you want a beard like in the photo? Wait until you're 30.
It's so... so fucking unattractive seeing guys with pube looking, prepubescent beards. My old boyfriend grew one out. It fucking SUCKED.

you do realize "beard" is also a slang term for a gay guy's girlfriend, right? As in, something superficial to increase the impression of masculinity your personality destroys?
Hipster hobo beard= FAIL.
Goatee/Mustache=WIN
Also, a beard and mustache trimmer with an adjustable length comb is best for evening out a beard.

What I've heard (and it makes sense) is that when first growing a beard, let the whole thing grow in without shaving or trimming, then afterwards, trim it to the shape and length that you want. Beards take a while to grow, and you can trim more, but you can't un-trim.

30 huh? I'm pretty sure I could grow a beard when I was 18, but hey, I'll still have one when I'm 30. Age doesn't matter, nor does how often you shave; either you can grow a beard or you can't, that's it.

But if you think about it, it would make sense that it would get stronger and more sturdy when you shave it alot.
Since the human adapts and i tought the beared grew thicker when you shaved it so that it survives better.

Well so the genes have alot to do with it then?
in my family we have more of a mustasch gene i suppose becouse that hair grows ALOT faster than the beard and i probobly could grow a decent mustasch during the summer but i like the idea of a beard more than a mustasch.
