Check to see if the box didn't go all the way to the bottom. It has done that to me on a couple occasions.

It might be your JavaScript is turned off. Make sure that it is on.

I just wanted to comment that Java has absolutely nothing to do with JavaScript. Updating your Java install (if you have it) shouldn't change a thing to a JavaScript problem.
Also, if making sure JavaScript is on didn't change a thing, try simply clearing your cache, that sometimes helps as well.
