When a few planes crash into peoples houses because the pilots vanished in a puff of smoke would be a good sign something happened. I would probably stock up on liquor and proceed to drink myself into a stupor and gain the power of teleportation, or just blackout drunk and appear somewhere else without a clue how I got there
