I'm Canadian, so from what I've seen on American Dad and misc. comedy sketches he seems like a pretty cool guy. Although he needs to stop killing old people in caves and start copying Canada some more. He is secretly trying to take us off the map by copying all of our customs so we aren't unique anymore.

The Democratic Party still retains control of the U.S. Senate, albeit losing some power after the 2010 midterm elections. But the House is now controlled by the Republican Party.

People need to stop blaming the President and start blaming who they elect as senators because that is who really matters.

Yep, the representatives in the other chamber of Congress are COMPLETELY irrelevant and non-important.

And yes, it does make political sense to blame the incumbent in the White House for a variety of problems, as he is still an important figure in the legislative process, despite not being able to introduce bills or vote on them while they are in Congress.

My opinion on this situation is that we, as the american people, need to realise that by learning from our mistakes can lead to progress in the fields of study we so choose and that by initiating the worst possible scenario we managed to fail the country.

I don't think any of us really know. He's tried too hard to sit on the fence on a bunch of issues, and the republicans have taken advantage of that by thwarting any attempts he's made to do ANYTHING just to make him look bad. While he may look weak, he's got a shitton of responsibility on his shoulders, so I think 90% of people would probably be doing exactly what he's doing right now in his situation.

So all we really know about him is... He isn't immensely strong-willed or he'd be pushing back against the republicans a little more. But that's not much to go on at all.
