The proof is in the sound. This is not a remix, cover or remake. This was recorded in 1967.

Actually Led Zeppelin were first

For their debut album, they took a bunch of other people's songs, added better drums and vocals, and gave themselves sole writing credit.

that's a common drum beat, but nevertheless there are several drum beats before that that are used in hip hop and rap nowadays. even still one drumline doesn't constitute hiphop so you're kind of a dumbass.

The drum beat in the beginning is actually a popular break in hip hop. Well, not popular, but it's used frequently. I use it sometimes and it's a fun break to use.

I wouldn't classify that as hip-hop, though I see where you're coming from.

the intro track is better than the reprise, anyway

So you are basically saying that they invented Hip-Hop? It really sounds like Hip-Hop, maybe you explored something amazing!

I'll admit I don't have a huge knowledge of hip-hop and its roots, but I'd say you could find more traces of modern hip-hop in James Brown's music and he started recording in the 50s.

I'm no fan of The Beatles, but they did do this one awesome song. Seriously, you need to watch it because I imagine very few of you are aware of it. It's not exactly well known but it's awesome:

I think the only reason that beat sounds modern and "hip-hop" is because the drummers of the previous generations were too good to play simple beats like that. With the exception of Ringo, obviously. Nowadays simplicity is common in approaching drum beats, which makes one naturally associate simplicity with modernity. Same goes to music in general, if you think about it. Most forms of popular music nowadays are extremely simple in composition yet very intricate and extensive in terms of production.

It wasn't a common drum beat in 1967, they did this first, that's my point. The drumming and supporting sounds are compiled a lot like hip-hop.

even still one drumline doesn't constitute hiphop so you're kind of a dumbass.

Nice drum break, but a nice break doesn't mean it is Hiphop

Actually hip hop is it's own thing

just because some DJs sampled a looping beat or programmed a drum machine does not exactly correlate to Beatles doing anything first.

No, but a Beatles song directly influencing hip-hop in multiple ways does.
