Not really sure. I attempted the thing twice and I was tryin to talk as much as I could the second time to get anything to happen. Everyone is different. I think its some are left brained, right, or centered. If you centered nothing probably will happen at all so that might be you.

Woot Page 2! This one I got bored and drew. Toying with the idea of a signature picture.

Still working on my comic character redesign. Got the front face done. Still have to do back and 3/4 view as well as back and front full figure.

That character design reminds me a lot of Katra or however it's spelled from Gundam Wing and other older (read better) anime. It's pretty cool is what I mean, not implying copy-cat-ism.

lol irony I love that manga and anime. I guess I got a little bit from that since I watch it so much but I was actually looking over about three of my various art books to draw that. I don't like copying but at the same time a lot of my style mimics it cause thats how I learned. I use to draw Quatre's video cover over and over again. I actually have one I colored somewhere let me see if I can find it.

Well it's common practice for artists to copy famous works over and over, and for people to just copy or emulate artists they love, a lot of what my "style" is is just an amalgamation of various artists I love.

I'd like to see more, and even more specifically, I'd like to see the video cover thingy

lol its scary. Really bad really this was back in 2002 when I first started. The only saving grace was it was far easier to copy something I was looking at rather then anything original. Its still really bad makes me cringe looking at it.

Liking the style. Since I like gundam very much lol. It's quite interesting to see that kind of style these days. So how's the forum working out for you?

Really good. All those things I was told were unfounded. I am a die hard gundam wing fan so you'll see that in lots of things I do.

The thing about this forum is that if you're modest, take criticism well, and show a desire to improve your abilities, people are usually pretty affable and will try to help you get where you want to be.

But if you can't take criticism well, proclaim yourself better than you are, and argue with those that would try to help you, people will tear your head off.

I guess that is the difference. I know I have a long way too go and I love feed back, but I use to be up-tight about it. Back in high school if anyone said anything I'd get quiet and just stop trying. Don't know when or why that went away but glad it did. Just the practice I've gotten form draw for newgrounds in the last week has been helpful. Sadly I'm starting to go over board with it. I was sitting in class twitching cause all I wanted to do was come home and draw.

Pffft your drawing has me doing fan art of Tom from Toonami (the fat version of him) just because it made me all nostalgic. So thanks for that.

I'm also watching the last season og Yu Yu Hakusho since they never showed it on Toonami to my knowledge.

Here facial design # 2. I'm kind of weaker on side view. I have to now redesign gear. I can't wait till I get to the point were I can do a image full shot were I can put in all the tips I've gotten from all of u.

When doing a character sheet or turn around, you should line them up so you get the proportions right from face to face. You did a pretty good job so far though at getting them right, just a few things off.
When you do a sheet over facial expressions then you can feel free to place them more randomly.

Use scale markers and lines to keep things accurate. Here is an example.

I'm almost back. Must....survive...till... Tuesday. College is a killer. Anyways, hopefully I can work on my character sketch and well pretty much be able to draw what I want for a change instead of *cringe* cubism. I'll put more stuff up once my college temporarily hands me back my soul for a small week before summer term. Taking a break from art classes but I am proud to announce I am starting private lessons. Really looking forward to that. Talk to you all when I can.

This still isn't right but its getting better. I rushed the last one so the hair is off in the back but the face is closer to what I want. At least its less gundam wing-ish. Anyways I'll keep drawing him since each round of this he's getting better and better. Hopefully soon I can get ahold of of some copic markers so I can learn how to color with them. Any ideas on shadows on white hair? I tried the cross hatch and unlike 50s peices of work, it just doesn't look right.

Here is a random chibi of myself. Creepy isn't it. Took me about 45 minutes to do this. Umm thats fast for me isn't that scary to all you speed drawers.
