Spam Thread

So I was thinking. There should be a spam thread, just one thread dedicated to just whatever the fuck you want to say. It could be like a free-for-all sort of thing, the only area you can post whatever without a worry of being banned.

I understand some might use it as an excuse for +1 post count, but really isn't a big deal, because they'll just get that +1 spamming in another thread. Some people here have really dumb shit to say sometimes, which they could just bring here. This could also be used as sort of an effort to reduce spam in other threads.

What do you guys think?

I didn't think about that, haha. That could be a pain in the ass though. People check the BBS a lot more often than individual userpages. If you wanna post something for everyone to talk about, but would be considered spam, you can't do that in your userpage, especially if you're an unknown user.

Yeah, honestly, I agree they are stupid. I just figured maybe it would help reduce spam, at least a little bit.

A generalized spam thread cannot hurt a large community such as Newgrounds. If anything, it can help people with those retarded urges to make a thread about total nonsense/trolling by giving them an outlet to release their idiocy.

But yes, post spamming will bump your count up like nobody's business, and that's no good.

The last time I stumbled upon a big spam thread I had to clean up a load of hardcore violence / porn imagery and posts containing racial slurs and homophobia.

I can't say I like this "free-for-all" idea.

That would be a huge problem, and most likely a given to happen again. A warning could be slapped to the title of the thread, to let people know what they might be getting into. A couple rules could be added to stop that, but that would defeat the whole purpose of the spam thread.

It would be a little difficult to implement, but even so, I think it would be a pretty good idea. I'm sick of seeing stupid things. So to keep it to one thread would be kinda nice.
