Resolveable Glitches 2011-05-03 18:24:45

Way back on my old account when I last made games I used to get reports of Bugs, glitches, problems and mistakes that were not caused by faults in programming and are known to be easily resolveable. I plan to start submitting again soon so I would like a page to refer people to when these problems occur so that they dont go blaming me and lowwering scores. So I thought I would make a thread to refer people to for solutions.

If you know any solution('s) to any of the following problems then please post reply the solution here providing a link to a "reliable" source or referance.

Keys / Controls Jamming or Sticking.
So say I press the button to make the character go Left and then release it, the character carries on moving as if im still holding it. Massively reported problem.

Keys / Controls not working together.
Say I used the "A" and ths "S" keys and they worked seperately fine but then I hold one and press the other the one I press doesnt respond.

Loss Of Local Storage Data.
This one is annoying, people claim to be losing save data on games after a while I.e. they play the game and for a while the saving works and then a while later say a few weeks for arguments sake, the data is gone. I have checked the programming a thousand times and can find nothing wrong and I know as a matter of fact that you cant go wrong when it comes to local storage and its really a pain in the ass for me.

Blank screen.
Its not so much a bug but something people complain about all the time and its annoying, what causes that and is there a solution?

Frame scrambling.
Where 2 frames get jumbled together or where stuff from another frame turns up on a frame it shouldnt be on. Say if I made a menu screen and then a screen for the game to be and each on seperate frames, the menu would appear on top of the game. I have never seen this, but a handful of people claim to have and sent screen shots to boot. As far as I know this situation is impossible to be caused by my programming seing as all the frames are seperate and parrallel.

All help, suggestions and solutions are appreciated, remember to include source links. Thanks in advance people.

Why don't you just learn to code instead. It's impossible for anyone here to solve these problems for you. Especially not seeing any code, and only hearing you describe symptoms of problems. I hope all your shit gets blammed. i hate you

Seeing as its " ALL " games that have these problems and they arent caused by the code in games and there are known solutions to the problems and its known they are known to be caused by exernal factors out of my control people can give solutions based on symptoms only so long as they are familiar with the problem. Personally id say your being an arrogant asshole. If you havent anything constructive to say that doesnt involve pointless insults, dont say anything.

Every single one of those sounds like a coding error.

Well every single one of those is not a coding error.
Since nobody could provide "Constructive response" I searched up the problems and solutions myself. And found them all. Heres the news post containing them and several reliable sources for each problem:

Why you guys have to nit pick the situation I dont know. If the situation is I have been recieving reports of glitches not caused by flash coding errors, but by external problems outside of the authors control. Then the situation is that I have been recieving reports of glitches not caused by flash coding errors, but by external problems outside of the authors control.
Seriously, WTF where you thinking when you responded saying that? If you know what "NOT CAUSED BY" means and you know what "CODING ERRORS" are and what they mean. Then logicaly, if you have half a brain inside your skull then you can deduce that the problems werent caused by coding errors and there must be some other cause.

I am not the only one who has recieved these reports, they are known problems that have nothing to do with programming errors and they have known solutions. The only reason I made this thread was to see if other people know the solutions, sources for the solutions or know solutions which I havent yet heard about and it would save me having to look through the internet to find the solutions sources when I could just ask other people who already know these things.

You would have to be practicaly retarded not to realise by reading my news post that the questions where targeted towards people who knew the solutions and could provide them. Not to noobs who cant tell the difference bewtween there asshole and the toilet bowl who can do nothing more than waste my time by posting insults and saying it was down to coding when it isnt.
If you didnt know a solution, you should just not have said anything at all.

It's amazing what one can discover when they get off their lazy ass and do their own research.

Its amazing what one can discover when they arent noobs, who go through hours of research to find information that other people could have easily given me off the top of there heads. Mind you, what else should I have been expecting other than lazy ass noobs posting nit picking, pointlessly abusive, ignorant and retarded comments. Kinda like yours.
