How come no one ever calls Rhode Island out on the fact that it's not a fucking island? Seriously, how do they continue to perpetrate this bullshit? And I know some cunt is going to Wikipedia the etymology of the name to try and show me up, but quite frankly, I don't care. It's a load of crap no matter how it come to be and I'm done with it. It IS an island. The full name of the state, Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. It has since been shortened to just 'Rhode Island' because nobody wants to say that full name every time. Originally, the state was two colonies, one on the island and one on the mainland.

Rhode Island is an island. The full name of the state is Rhode Island and Providence Plantations.
